I do like this band, they get a lot of stick for being musical magpies, but they're okay IMO, even if some of their lyrics are questionable - "slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball"? What?

Thank you for reacting to the best of Oasis as of now. They have few other good songs such as Crying Your Heart Out and several others that I can't recall the name of at the moment. When I first heard this band in the 90s, I really thought they were on to bigger fame than they had but they kind of puttered out with some setbacks. As a Beatles Fan, I can not deny their style of music. They were influenced by The Beatles but in their own unique style.

Yeah they were biggest band in the world for a few years sold 75000000 units and played to 250000 people...puttered out..😂😂😂

I have been to very few concerts in my lifetime but I am glad to say that I had seen Oasis live (V Festival 2005) as they are a very important group in the history of British rock music.

My favourite band of all time. A fan as a TWELVE YEAR OLD in 1994. Heard 'Whatever' for the first time and i was hooked. Liam was an incredible frontman (sadly ruined his vocal chords with endless smoking, drugs and alcohol) and best of his generation. Noel Gallagher - just a pure legend and genius. Hero. Dude if you want more Oasis - Masterplan, Some Might Say, Shakermaker, Columbia, D'ya Know What I Mean?, Don't Go Away, Talk Tonight, Hello, Flashbax, She Is Love, Little By Little, All Around The World, Supersonic, Go Let It Out, I'm Outta Time, Lyla, Whatever, Live Forever, Don't Look Back In Anger, Morning Glory, Listen Up, Half The World Away, Live Forever, Rockin Chair, Rock N Roll Star, She's Electric, It's Gettin' Better Man, Songbird, Who Feels Love, The Hindu Times, Slide Away, Turn Up The Sun, The Importance Of Being Idle, Don't Stop..... for starters anyhow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🇮🇪❤👍🏻

Liam's influence is John Lennon, very well observed! Don't forget Richard Ashcroft (lead singer of The Verve), he was also massive for Oasis. You're also right about the ending too, every song on this album ends similarly to jump into the next track, musical geniuses that don't get the credit they deserve IMO!

I presum the part where he was saying, where were you when we were getting high, just meant when they were really doing good in life. When everything was going good in life.
