Id of love to seen the penoum system working that created the wave motion but the compressor had issuies at the time i filmed this so i left it alone as dint wanna cause damage to it

@@KIRBZVIDS I hope so. I had some great times there in the 80's when I was a kid.

I love the place thay have done a good job resoring the domebusters steps up to the slids i give them that but the rest of the place needs a go over wish the counicl would fund them that bit more money to sort that place right out years ago that place was booming and had its little things about the place that dont seem to work any more

@@KIRBZVIDS i know right, think they were waiting for that big redevelopment project to start and then it would get sorted but that ain't happening anytime soon! Love the quirks of the place but your right it desperately needs tidying up

@@MrCRAIGJSTEVENS ahh right i knever knew about that would be good to do there i recon it might bring back how the place was but it shoud be using same ideas thay had years ago that wanted to make pepole go there and use the place as a good facility the prices now are over the top from what thay used to be aswell

Nope it was only closed because of lockdown and knowing the place as well as i i do i could gain acsess to there with out damaging or forcing any doors ect wish i filmed more beck then i did have a feeling then it was closeing down from how thay left it over lockdown

I did think that going there that night it dosent seem the same as it used to be

@Vincent and stuff I imagine quite the breeze in there while its running lol. Out of interest, do you know if there is a differential in pressure when the wave machine is running? by which I mean, is the plant room pressurised or do they compensate environmental conditions by installing passive ventilation in the plant room to the outside?

@Vincent and stuff Ah good explanation. Yes I have since seen those videos you are referring to. They use pneumatic pistons to operate the 'Butterfly valve'? I think its called? And it will open and close in a sequence to create a specific wave type, size etc. Didn't know that the room pressure should be no more than 2 PSI so thank you for for that.

Haha i will try i not to shure if there redoing this place tho swindon counicl plans are a right flop in swibdon we been pronised loads things over the years but fail to see any changes all i see is them ripping places down latly ajd leaving empty sites about

@@KIRBZVIDS I totally agree bud, SBC do what they want and not what the people of Swindon want. We have enough housing estates in Swindon but they keep approving developers land to build on yet we have just the one NHS hospital full to the brim. We have several buildings looking like something out of Chernobyl...the first one being the Signal Point tower above the train station...it's all about first impressions. We already have a tower block with apartments in yet the council have approved two new tower blocks right next to it...pathetic. If I had a bottomless money pit I would make Commercial Road pedestrianised and that would be the Town Centre moving all the current units from Canal Walk/Regent Street and Bridge Street to Commercial Road. I would keep the Brunel Centre and integrate that in to Havelock Street so that that's the only main way in and out of the Brunel Centre. As for Canal Walk and Regent Street...Canal Walk would become a canal again and all the buildings would be pancaked and would be replaced with something similar to Queen's Park or the Town Gardens. All that would be left near Wharf Green would be all the coffee shops, eateries and pubs with an outdoor tv screen that actually fucking functions unlike that embarrassing shit there at the moment. Good pan or not...whad'ya think? Btw sorry for the essay lol.

Thay had boilers in the plant room and a desil genrstor outside to help in winter with cost as it cost £2500 per day to heat
