OASIS!! Finally, you got round to just one of the great UK bands from the North of England. Yes, as narm67 said, influenced by The Beatles. So many great songs, The Masterplan is one of my favourites. Oasis use a lot of orchestral music in some of their songs which gives them their unique sound plus Liam's voice is unmistakable. A band who you might like for their orchestral sound is another Northern England band The Verve with Bittersweet Symphony.(Really biased here cos from the North myself) Oh and lets not forget The Arctic Monkeys, genius's.
Also from Manchester and equally proud to see someone on the other side of the world react like this to Oasis. Especially to this song which was played at a family funeral.
You earnt my sub with your spot on initial reaction..exactly the same feeling I had when I heard this song for the first time 17 years ago thanks to a mother who was a huge oasis fan! Lost her 4 years and this song is so much more than that to me since then
Hi JB. Oasis is a band from England in the U.K. , they were very big in the 90's. The singer is the younger brother Liam and singing back up is his older brother Noel.

Great reaction! :D do more Oasis - I guarantee you'll get a ton of new subscribers - so many great songs to recommend. Don't look Back In Anger, Live Forever, Supersonic, Rockin' Chair, Cast No Shadow, Champagne Supernova, Go Let It Out, Lyla, Fade Away, Masterplan, Half The World Away, Don't Go Away to name but a few!
2:28 you may have hit the nail on the head there. Because I read somewhere that Noel actually wrote this about a close friend of his who was suffering from depression. However, I dont know if this is true
@@neilj6322 tbh there are only a couple of tracks that I like of theirs. My clubbing/going to gigs days were more of the acid house/madchester era. I found that whole Britpop thing kinda dull.
Don't Look Back in Anger is my favourite. Wonderwall too. Let's face it. When it comes to British music, you're spoilt for choice. You could spend the rest of your life exploring it. Oasis were HUUUUUUUGE in the UK back in the 90s.
the brits were the best in rock music by faaaar. and that comes from a norwegian guy who mostly likes british stuff. The beatles, the rolling stones, Queen, Led zeppelin, Pink floyd, The who, Oasis, david bowie, genesis, elton john, phil collins, iron maiden, def leppard, acdc, the police.... etc
