I hate oats, so what I do is first put the dry contents in a blender and blend it into a powder. Then I follow the directions on the package. It's easier to digest and taste better. Try it and let me know what you think.
I tried them. Had a few flavors so far and they’re pretty tasty. I leave them in the fridge extra long so they get a little thicker. I do drink them - usually for a quick, healthy lunch. The price is high, but you’re basically getting oats plus protein powder in one. They are sweet, so no need for added sweetener.
@@azrax1451 It’s stated on the website it’s more of an oatmeal shake but you can customize it however you’d like to ingest them lol microwave it, thicken it, drink it immediately after mixing, etc
@@_J0N_TAFFER I disagree. The oats I normally eat for breakfast cost less than $1 a serving. I just don’t always want to take time to prepare them. As I stated previously, I could understand paying a dollar more per serving for convenience but that’s all you’re paying for. They are just fortunate they have a good marketing campaign that hooks people like you in.
@@MississipVol I was actually told about it from a coworker 🤣 who let me try some before I bought it and it's got alot of expensive ingredients in it that are super foods three dollars not that bad it can last you almost a month if you have one every morning
@@_J0N_TAFFER it only has chia seeds added but I get a whole bag of those for less than $10 from my health food store. If you want to spend $3 on an overpriced breakfast, I am totally fine with that. Just don’t go suggesting that we have to spend that much to be healthy, or otherwise eat twinkies. I make hot oatmeal several times a week with protein, powder, chia seeds, and almond milk. It costs a third the price of this stuff. The convenience would be great and I am sure the flavors are fun but it’s not worth 3X the price to me.
Slimy comes from chia seeds. If you're going to do a review, why not at least do it right? Follow the company directions. This was so frustrating to watch.
I agree... Like they literally give you step-by-step instructions. If they say use 8oz, and give you a cup to measure it. Do it. Shake the bottle. And leave it OVERNIGHT 🙄🙄 “4 hour is good enough”...no, no it’s not.
Protein powder, oats, whatever frozen fruit or puree you like, peanut butter (depending on flavors you're using), seeds in a regular food prep container. You end up with a better macro profile, cheaper product and no runny product. I'd consider trying these, but the fact that you have to buy a massive box of them (can't purchase individual packets) and need a subscription for a somewhat decent price is a turn off.
The things you’d have to buy to make this are up there… you got oatmeal, 2/3 different types of seed, protein, pink salt, if you want a crazy flavor like the blueberry cobbler then blueberries and then a sugar and if you want better sugar for you it’ll be more expensive… it’s probably not all that cheaper to make yourself
This video needs to be taken down lol. The whole point is Oats that you drink on the go. you are NOT supposed to warm them and you are NOT supposed to use a spoon. Take this shit video down.
Idk a lot of ppl are complaining about price and I used to be one of them …but if you’re like me who can order one meal from Uber or DoorDash n that equals to 25/30$ this is affordable I do the 16 packs a month plus one surprise pac that’s not shown on the menu for 50$ a month. That’s breakfast for three business weeks that’s how plan to use it. Orr four business weeks with about one cheat day a week. The flavors are great n I love the texture when it’s cold. I do not like to meal prep lol so this is very easy for me. Very convenient for me a teacher n mom of one 5 year old boy
I currently make my own at home. I had fudge brownie this morning! BUT I literally just ordered oats overnight yesterday simply for convenience. I work in a nursing home and often work over. So if I forget to make my oats I can just grab a pack and make it at work and leave it in our fridge until I take a lunch.
My friend gave me a couple packets and just told me to add some almond milk and put it in the fridge. I didn’t research additionally or read the packet. I gagged the first one down and then couldn’t eat the second due to the sliminess. I then saw a commercial on Facebook “Look af this weirdo drinking her oatmeal “ and I was like 🤯. I might try again. My friend lost a lot of weight using it.
It’s designed to drink out of the shaker bottle. You made it sound bad but depending on flavors will determine if you like it or not. Choc Peanut Butter is my go-to.
I actually don’t think it is designed to drink. The commercial I saw for it made the cookie dough flavor look like they were supposed to be eating “cookie dough” with a spoon. I think she added too much milk and/or didn’t let it sit long enough
@@user-hg1wc3tu1iit Literally is designed to drink it COMES WITH A SHAKER BOTTLE TO DRINK OUT OF. in that commercial they were showing Actual cookie dough being eaten with a spoon bc it’s a commercial-they then say they don’t feel good because(bc duh bowl of cookie dough) It is just dramatization to emphasize and convince people that their product tastes like eating cookie dough but Is healthy. When they show their actual product in that commercial they are drinking it. Not sure how you could miss that they intend for it to be drinkable they literally call it drinkable oats over and over
@@user-hg1wc3tu1i like that was actual cookie dough not their product, Their product was being shipped from a shaker bottle,I’m still bewildered at your confusion on this.
@@jamesmansfield9276 chill the fuck out…I mean holy shit. Some people DO eat it with a spoon depending on how they make it. Are you ok? You must wake up mad. Protein powder comes with a shaker bottle too sometimes. You’re saying no one mixes protein powder with anything like yogurt/oatmeal/cottage cheese?
its not just the convenience your paying for its the healthiness of it to. Their oats are farmed out of Canada and are certified organic which means no herbicides like glyphosate. Plus oats overnight tests there oats for containments
So oats themselves are super cheap, so at home if you were doing just regular over night oats there would be a price cut, how ever, when you consider the price of the protein you are adding to get the macros you want, that is typically at least 1$/20-25g there (on the low end), and add the cost of fresh or frozen fruit. So price wise that could be reasonable depending on how fancy you would get too! Also they do advertise it with people drinking it, so that’s interesting! Thanks for the review tho!!
Haven't tried it yet. My first order is on the way. One thing that appealed to me versus making my own overnight oats in a Mason jar which I've done before, is the added protein. 20g from the packet alone, plus another 13g from the Fairlife milk I'll use is great for me.
it has instructions on the website. i know you aren't saying it's terrible in your review, but if you don't follow the instructions how can you give a good review?
If you read the website directions, to eat it warm use a bowl, add 4oz milk, then bag of oats and microwave. Versus cold overnight oats made and then microwaved. I would imagine the texture would be better if warmed up as directed. As for ‘drinking’ it, it’s a travel cup, take a mouthful and chew via the cup would be easier than driving and trying to use a spoon. Pretty sure that’s the purpose of the on the go cup.
Love oats overnight all the flavors are great, only flavor I dislike so far is the blueberry cobbler it tastes like medicine to me and I'm not a big fan of pea protein but the rest are awesome peach upside-down is the best
I personally love it! It’s quick to make and all I do is take it out of the fridge in the morning and drink it on the go. I’m a fan of most of the flavors.
I drink it . Its faster . I hate oatmeal anyway . But my doctor said i needed oats in my diet. I buy the creamsicle one its easy and right after i drink mine i rinse and wash out my mix cup and reload it and stick it in the fridge
I came to the ad & looked around because it was all about eating "ice cream" for breakfast. They show them scooping what looks like ice cream with an ice cream scoop. Everything within the company page is about drinking it, except for a memtion of eating hot or cold with a spoon if you want. I want ice cream! Where is that? Do I just put it in the freezer to feel like I got ice cream? Or is it a cold mush?
lol I also saw the same thing on FB. I was about to order until I seen these reviews. $40 on Amazon for some damn frozen oatmeal. I also was just hungry for breakfast ice cream😩
I haven’t even used my shaker bottle yet my mom got the subscription and we are trying our first 2 flavors tonight and i already know that you are supposed to pour the milk in the shaker bottle first bc it has a 4/8oz label on the bottle then you pour the package EDIT: OMG I DIDNT REALISE U NOTICED IT!!! I was about to sayyyy…
Currently trying to fit in 177 grams of protein a day and it’s hard man so I’m trying to use these to get a quick 20 grams every morning it’s kinda pricy though so idk how long I can keep ordering
To me it looked runny and if you add the whole 8 oz of milk wouldn’t it be like chunky soup?? I don’t think I could handle the texture of drinking it… I’d definitely have to use a spoon… but really, I think just making a large batch at once and filling up a weeks worth of jars then add your toppings in the morning would be easier and cheaper… who would want to spend that much money a month for the convenience factor? That would be a ton of money for something that you could make in advance for way less money and still have the convenience of not spending a whole lot of time… 🤷🏽♀️
I'm interested in oats bc I'm trying to get more protein in as a vegetarian without the meat substitutes. I'm just so picky with oatmeal, I need it to be more on the dry side so I don't think I can stomach the texture 😮💨 might just have to experiment at home first
I just ordered to try and then cancel. I got 16 packs with the tumbler thing. it has an 8oz label on it but seems like it should hold MORE. Maybe for second try tomorrow ill add more stuff. I had banana bread and the smell.......SO GOOD....the taste was meh. not bad but I tried it cold.
For everyone saying “Oh she didn’t follow the instructions” TECHNICALLY you add the milk then the oats and then you leave it in the fridge for a minimum of 4-5 hours. What part of that did she screwed up on?
$4.00 a pack? People are so gullible! 😮. Literally just buy a huge container of steal cut oats, whatever you want to add, and boom, less than a dollar per serving. If that’s too much “effort”, you deserve to be ripped off. 🤷♂️
I've tried it and love the flavors. i usually drink it first think waking up before hitting the gym 90 mins later. so far i feel great since taking it. i do drink it from the shaker. at first the texture was a bit weird but i got used to it. it is a touch expensive but given the convenience, variety of flavor and amount of protein youre getting, i say its worth it if it fits your budget
Honestly they are not that pricey I usually get the 24 meals for like 70 bucks, it could get expensive if these were the only thing I eat, but as it is its almost a month worth of meal for less than a hundred bucks
Did you sign up for the subscription on your first order? And if you choose to add more liquid does that impact the consistency enough to drink? Looking for a meal on the go that doesn't require a spoon.
I feel like this company would do better if they sent a free trial before you commit to a subscription. I value your review but would still want to try it myself before committing to the product. Also, if you don't do the subscription, you pay much more.
Buy any flavor whey protein that's around $0.7 per serving. Oat is cheap too. You can make it $1 per meal. Revolution fitness has great tasting protein for cheap. Specially crispy marshmallow and peanut butter flavor.
The calories are way too high for me to want to drink this instead of eating it. So weird to me. I would rather mix protein powder with ice or a frozen banana for better macros, less calories and more volume. Kind of frustrating because I felt like this could be good if you would eat it as normal oatmeal is made
Why not just go to the store - buy oats, milk, honey, cinnamon ( if not allready at home) put into a glas and put it into the fridge? Much cheaper - you can also get some protein powder to add flavour of your liking... Dont know why?
Judging by the video I’d probably make than heat it up. Then put it back in the shaker and eat/drink it on the go in the morning since I got to be at work at 630 am
The instructions say to add the milk first - then add the oats. You didn't follow those instructions in the beginning - so I'm not watching the rest of the video.
I just put it together, shake it, and then drink it. Easy. I don’t think it’s meant to be warmed, that defeats the whole convenience factor lol. I’m sure if left overnight it’s a little better but I have no complaints drinking right after I pour and mix it.
Honestly, it’s nothing new. protein powder and oatmeal combined into one product. I’ll just make my own bowl of oatmeal and add protein powder to it. it would be a lot cheaper and it’s practically the same thing.
They absolutely expect you to drink it. That's how they advertise it in every single ad lol that's why it comes with a shaker. They say it's possible to mix it in a bowl and heated in the microwave as long as you use half the required milk
Ryze overnight oats it's amazing not sure about this brand, and with ryze it's only 8oz of water with 1 pack the vanilla cinnamon is amazing and drink it right out of my shaker
I agree definitely not worth the price. I would rather meal prep them. Also, I have never had runny overnight oats like that 😬 Mine are always thick and creamy.
Why is it every time I see someone talk negatively about this company people seem to come out of the woodwork trying to defend them. They are pretty much hostile in their approach.
I think the kit would make a nice gift to turn a friend onto the idea. But I'd hope also it would become apparent to the recipient that they can purchase a large container of oats from the grocery store for a fraction of the cost. With that said, I had only recently overheard the term "overnight oats" and was interested in other ways to prepare oatmeal. Up until now I've been pouring boiling water into a cup of oats and letting it sit for a few minutes. This method sound more efficient and maybe even healthier. So thank you for the video :)
It's too expensive. You're literally getting 2 packets of flavored oats but paying $3.00 per packet. If you bought name brand flavored packets, and used TWO packets to make your oatmeal, it would cost you about 70 CENTS per completed double serving. Also, their advertising is deceptive. They show you actual ice cream as if it's the finished product, but use the words "what if you could have ice cream for breakfast..." Just buy packets of oatmeal and save the $150 for your car payment.
:O the ad for the oats does advertise them to be able to be drinkable so might be good to watch more of the vids to figure out how theyre supposed to be :)
