As much as I love the prequels, this parody shows how awkwardly ROTS ended: with Obi leaving Anakin to die on the bank of that lava river. It would have been one thing if Anakin fell into lava and Obi was convinced he died - it is another when Obi looks at this student burning to a crisp and then Obi proceeds to nonchalantly take Anakin's lightsaber. In the end Obi lying to Luke comes across as super shifty and manipulative, where before the prequels were released it could be argued that he wanted to spare Luke from shock and he wanted him to maintain the positive image of his father.

Obi-Wan and his stories, talking a Skywalker's ear off, he must have somehow picked that up from Palpatine. _Ironic._
