I miss them years. Probably why i got 89 k5 4x4 lifted and an gmt400 88 c3500 lowered. Each epi was good, and it makes me feel less alone with the love of OBS.

I just discovered this series today. I have an original 91 gmc extended cab step side (which my uncle ordered a step side from the factory from single cab which wasent an option at the time) that has been in my family since 91. I’ve owned the truck for 13 years and have truly enjoyed these videos to give me an idea what options I can do. But I would love to keep it as 90s as possible.

Wow, I grew up in this era of trucks. Great docu and love seeing all those 90s magazine trucks that I was and still infatuated with for all these decades. I’ve owned my ‘96 OBS since ‘01 and still a great truck.

I have a 1992 CHEVROLET GMT-400 (extended cab) and I love my truck.

Dang it now I’m online looking to buy one so I can fix up..... and get rid of my $60,000 truck

I see the throwback paint jobs on these trucks, especially the magenta truck. Badass! Check out my Silverado ST, my dad had the 90 GMC SIERRA ST black stepside with red stripe. I painted my truck as a tribute to his, white top, silver bottom with the red stripes. Marked "SILVERADO ST" in graphics. I've been rocking a true 90s style for 10 years on purpose!

I believe we are in great era that we love lowered or lifted ,and we do love each other’s brand like the Chevy lover also loves the Fords and Dodges , I believe we now just love trucks , new , restored , resto-mods , vintage ,faithful original , lowrider , unrestored, patina , I believe trucks are just American , Latino American and Australian passion and way of life !

Grew up around these trucks. I have a 91 GMC C1500 stepside single cab. Color matched grille/handles/smooth front bumper/roll pan, 454 SS mirrors, graphite gray paint, black wheels, hitch, cat and egr delete, flowmaster 40, electric fan, freshly rebuilt trans ($2900 with paperwork) with shift kit, 2400 stall. I'll probably sell it. Love the truck and built it from stock but I never drive it anymore, just sits in my driveway since I have kids now and a single cab truck isn't practical.

This one hit home!!! I more than appreciate this video and you guys for setting this up! How can I get some professional expertise on my 91 long bed; far from stock.

Sadly I had to get rid of my '93 earlier this year. Blew the Engine and couldn't afford to replace it. Had to finance 🤬 an '03 Trailblazer, but at least it's something I have always liked. Even before they dropped the LS in it. Now my thinking cap is on and I wonder what it would take to build a Turbo Kit for it🤔.

I agree with the fallowing of the street truck dying after 98. The body wasn't the same. I noticed in the early 2000 Chevy tried to bring back the square body back, but in my opinion is one of the ugliest body styles trying to bring back the square concept back.

$4k truck.... $75k later :O Friends in the biz, homie! haha. My '96 is looking paltry now.

Don't waste your money... Dropping suspension upgrades on a Chevy pickup truck, with a bent or cracked frame. Dog tracking is not a natural phenomenon for pickup trucks. It's a clear indicator of an out of length condition in the frame rail. It means... One side came to a dead stop. And the other side kept traveling. in which case you will probably have one of three other conditions in the same area. Mash sway, or out of height condition. Putting suspension upgrades, and bigger tires on your truck... Will not solve these problems. You need a frame rack. And yes... The slightest tap on the edge of the bumper, front or rear, send your frame, completely out of alignment. Like a great big lever, that bumper pushes that weak-ass frame around like paper. Pay attention to the body line between the cab and the box. If they are not even... It's been hit. Boxes cabs doors fenders bumpers grills and hoods, don't move on their own. And yes... Damage is created, even at low speeds. When you weigh 5,000 pounds, and you hit something at 10 miles an hour... Yes... You hit it that hard. Airbag lights don't just start flashing on their own. There's a reason it's illuminated. As a frame technician. I have to keep reminding the customer with these trucks... I'm not the one who built it. I'm not the one who wrecked it.. I'm not the one who sold it to you. I am the one... Who can clearly see your problem coming a mile down the road. And fix it for you.

Innovative technology? How about trying to figure out why the frames crack all by themselves? I'm a frame Tech. And paid my son's college note, just fixing cracks in their frames. And for extra money... The rust in the bottoms of the doors, they never finished painting. I've got fuel tank replacement and overhaul, down to a science. I mean... I used to chase all of the little problems that they had with the fuel systems. Now I just overhaul the complete system. It's cheaper and faster. I don't even stick a test bro Ben under the hood anymore. Just walk over to the fusible links... And see which one pulls out of the holder. I don't bother sticking my fluke multimeter under the hood... When it's always, the key cylinder. Coolant leak between 3 and 5... No problem. Get that junk in take out of there. Replace it with a good one. Broken exhaust manifold stud? Don't cram a masonry bolt in there ... that clearly isn't going to work. And I'm bettin... Ed about your third or fourth EGR valve ... you're wishing it was a Ford small-block. At least with those... You can eliminate the EGR... And it'll still run. and we haven't even begun to talk about the Myriad of counterfeit Parts in the market for these trucks yet. Dorman? No... AC Delco. but not the AC Delco parts from Amazon... It's 4 spark plugs. Not, 4 spark plug. Which relay? Which coil? AC Delco... Is grammatically correct. They're counterfeiters... Are not. Chevy trucks, are great money makers. Not because there's so many of them in the market. But, because there's so much to do to them. Before your buddy the plumber... Stuck his Plumbing wrench in there. even though you paid, big money for it. Just remember... It wasn't built using the best parts in the market. It was built with just enough parts... To get that car note paid off. I can't even tell you how many times, all I did was, reset the security system. to get it to run. After it came in on a flatbed. But hey... There's no way to charge for that. But, if you are a Chevy pickup truck owner. And you're preparing to make a left hand turn, from the left hand turn lane. Give yourself plenty of time to complete that turn. Because it's a very high probability, this is exactly when your truck will just shut off. And they've known, they've had a problem with this... Since 1986. and ignition recall that affected so many GM vehicles... They just stopped telling everybody. I have customers to this day, that can pull their key out of the ignition... Whenever they want. and I have to keep reminding them that, just because your key came out, and it's still running, doesn't mean the steering wheel lock... Won't kick in.
