Ordered my 2nd kit for my other truck and it arrived super fast and was even easier to install now that I’ve installed one already. Great customer service and awesome product! Thank you Tony!
5 STARS! As of today 05/19/2023 I have had the entry system for about a week. The install was just as easy as shown. It took me a total of 40 minutes. 20 min to install and 20 minutes of running inside to get tools (i should of just got everything before hand rather than walk inside every time I needed something). WORKS PERFECTLY! Have not has a single issue or hick up. I intend to update this after a year or so. It makes life so easy. The phone call was super educational and it was funny that Tony knew more about my truck than I did. Thanks again sir and God bless!
You’re the man Tony! I stumbled on this video last Monday night while looking around on YT to see how everyone hooked up keyless entry to our OBS trucks. I called Tony immediately and he set my order up to ship out the next day. Awesome down to earth guy with an old school mentality of doing business, which is the best way to be. Need more guys like him in this industry. This system is 100% as easy as it looks in the video. If you can install a battery in a vehicle, then you can install this system. Keep it going Tony, you’ve got a great thing going. Thanks a lot.
I just finished installing this kit on may 1996 Bronco...it could not have been easier, and I am no mechanic. The hardest part was separating the factory plugs. Once I did that, it literally took a few minutes to complete. Plus Tony was super easy to order from. I would highly recommend!
Installed in my son’s 92 Bronco yesterday with no problems. Thanks to Tony for being available to coach me through a few minor differences with this particular year/model. All was still very straightforward. I recommend Tony and this P&P solution. My son loves it.
Thanks for this video! Thank you for showing *exactly* the location and which connector I was looking for to reprogram my factory fob! (I did it from underneath rather than remove anything - found it with my cell phone - hey I'm too old to try laying on the floor) So valuable! It took about 10 seconds to do after I knew exactly what & where to look! Not bad for an old lady! Impressed my son! LOL! I have remote locks again! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
You're very welcome! I sell a lot of these keyless entries. I've also shown a lot of people that they have factory keyless entry and they didn't even know it. Thank you so much for the comment. Please be sure to like the video and subscribe to my channel. Thank you!
I just finished installing Tonys kit in my 1993 ford Lightning and all is great 👍 super happy and everything took about 30 minutes. Keep up the great work Tony, so happy I found out about your awesome kit - god bless 😎
I just got mine yesterday and today decided to have it install. Literally following the video at the same time while hands on work it did not took me more than 10 mins to install. I have done keyless entry install, but this one takes the cake. Tony, this is the hard last name guy 🤣
Called and talked to Tony on Wednesday and placed an order for my 96 F-350 Crew Cab and it was here on Friday! Very fast shipping very nice quality of work of the harness. Very simple and quick to install had it installed in about 30 minutes and it works great! Tony is the man to go to for these OBS Fords definitely knows his stuff. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
Ordered on Tuesday morning, received Thursday in SC. Took me about 30 minutes to install due to there being a few minor differences between the video and my 96 EB Bronco but it was easy to figure out. Product works perfectly and was plug and play once I dug the main wiring harness plug out from behind the others shown in the video. Glad to buy from an American instead of China, especially one called "thefordfreak".
Good product, I ordered it and it came right away. Works as advertised. Guy was nice enough to make sure that my truck was compatible with the device before selling it to me. 👍👍
Bought this kit for my 95 F150 and it came in a couple days. INstalled in less than an hr and works great. Tony is the real deal - a guy who is looking to use his knowledge to help others, and when he sells these harnesses, its is well made and at a fair price! Highly recommend him and looking forward to watching more of his videos.
This kit is amazing! Simple plug-n-play and had it installed in 15 minutes! Tony was awesome to work with and I couldn’t be more happy with the purchase! Rare to find someone so helpful and honest in todays world…
I ran the horn wire to the blue horn wire and the running light wire to the brown wire on the back of the warning chime just like you said! Everything works perfectly!
Had a Viper alarm professionally installed a couple years ago for my ‘97 OBS. Afterwards I always had problems with the powerlocks. Could never get all 4 to actuate from the door controls or fob, but didn’t know if it was a truck or alarm system problem. Started tearing into the truck looking for wiring problems and going after actuators, but that was like opening pandora’s box. Finally out of frustration tore the entire Viper alarm system off and threw it in a box. Guess what…truck powerlocks worked flawlessly and strong from the original OEM door controls. Then after seeing Tony’s video I couldn’t wait to try his product. He was helpful over the phone, ordering was a snap, arrived in mail quickly. Install was a breeze…and all my powerlocks work perfectly with the door controls and remote as well. Wish I had known about this product two years ago! Would have save me so much headache, hassle, and wasted money. Next project is AMP Powersteps hooked into dome light wiring, so they activate from the doors or remote fob. Thanks, Tony
Absolutely recommend Tony is top shelf. I purchased a remote keyless entry kit from him and it was everything he said it would be. However it was his willingness and kindness in helping me install my kit over the phone. He helped me with location a d color codes of wiring. Just amazing! My kit was for a 1999 F250 and is a much more involved install. Easy but not as easy as the kit for the earlier model. Tony was simply provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. I am 68 yrs old. It worked perfect first try. Thanks Tony
I have a 1995 Ford F-150 and recently bought Tony's plug and play system. It was so easy to install; only took me 30 minutes max. The hardest/longest part of the install for me was pulling apart the plug, but then again those plugs haven't been disconnected since the truck was built 27 years ago. 🤣 Definitely recommend to anyone looking to add keyless entry to their OBS Ford! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Worked great for my 96. Only took about 20 minutes to put everything in. Worse part was getting that factory connection loose without breaking the tabs. Tony does a great job building these kits. Highly recommend anything he has to offer
Thank you Tony!!! I was referred to you 3 weeks ago by "No BS OBS" here in Oregon. I've been struggling for a couple years with intermittent alarms on my '95 F250 upon keyed entry (I've owned the truck 8 years and never had a keyless fob for it). My challenges were with the key lock activate/deactivate on the driver's door, ever since I had the truck painted). I do have the keyless system, but again no fob, so you directed me to a fob source on eBay, received them yesterday, and followed your instructions in the first part of this video. Worked perfectly as a procedure. I ordered extra fobs, based on their low price and your experience in the video with 1 no-go fob. I had 1 of 4 fail, but have traced it to a bum battery. Thanks very much for rescuing me, and for all the time you've put in to create a solution for OBS owners who do NOT have a factory keyless entry system (part 2 of this video). G. Peterson
I would definitely 100% hire him to work on my 92 Lincoln town car executive series if I lived closer. He's the guy. Knows everything about Lincolns. The man
I purchased my kit from Tony last Tuesday, had it in hand by Friday, and it took about 20 mins to fully install using this video. Everything was exactly as Tony depicted and it works as advertised. Worth every penny for the upgrade. Thanks Tony!
Just installed Tony's kit in my sister's 1997 extended cab 2-door. The kit arrived pronto, plus this video made the install a breeze. Truly PnP. Range with the antenna placed as Tony suggests is at least 300ft... from inside my home! Only things I'd add are to take care to route horn wire away from the moving HVAC parts on passenger side under dash, and look on both sides of the T-taps after inserting blades to make sure you didn't miss the contact slot! A very satisfying upgrade, quality stuff, and well worth it!
Bought this Kit from Tony last week. It shipped very quickly, had it in two days. Installed it this weekend in about an hour in a 1993 F250 IDI Diesel. Works GREAT! Thanks,😃 Tony!
You’re the man Tony! I ordered this kit and it was shipped the next day. The install only took 15 minutes and everything works like a charm. This video makes everything simple with super clear instructions. Thanks again Tony! 100% recommended
Awesome product I just installed this on my 1997 F250 installation was easy took me about 15 min and what a difference in a old Truck totally worth it price I would recommend this to anybody what are you waiting for call Tony 👍👍👍
Anyone who is thinking about getting this pull the trigger. Super easy to install great product! Recommending this to anyone who’s got a truck this will work on
I bought this kit several months ago and it has been the best thing I've done to the truck so far! I'm looking at adding the 4003 add-on remote start to this, which is sold as an add-on to existing keyless entry systems and re-uses my remote. Any clue if I'll need to do some programming on the 2101 AND 4003 to get the remotes to work with both this kit and the add-on remote start? The 4003 doesn't come with any new remotes so I'd be reusing the ones in this kit. Hope this makes sense.
That harness connector looks very similar to the one in my fox body. If you don't already make them for fox's you should consider it because the market is still quite large.
I have it ready to introduce and have sold two. It pops the trunk as well. I have not located an actual car to do a video on yet but they're coming real soon. I have one on the bench ready to go now. Thank you for commenting. I figured they will keep me as busy as the trucks and may have to hire someone to keep up. It is a different plug though.
That would be great I'd definitely like to buy a plug and play kit from you because these old Ford wiring systems are beyond my comprehension. I only got mine to work by disconnecting the passenger side lock switch harness. Those cheap keyless kits are great in my book, I've put one in a Saturn and a Honda without issue but the Ford is too complicated for me to understand.
They are actually ready to go. I just haven't done the video yet. I have sold too and they installed it by me sending pics and phone support. I can fix you up when I get back from Detroit.
The trucks are $225.89 total shipped including tax and insured shipping. The Fox Body will be $25.00 more to cover cost for the trunk release relay and wiring it up. However that can be optional.
Great video! Out of curiosity could a power door conversion kit be a possibility or has it already been done? I have a '96 with literally manual everything but I would like to power convert the doors and add this keyless kit into the mix.
Sure all you need is a donor truck. You need to get it all out of a truck without factory keyless entry because it has a separate harness. Factory keyless entry 94 and up is all intricated into the dash harness.
You wouldn’t have the wording diagram for that I have that same Avital system. But a little confused on the door locking portion. The manual says I need to add relays or a DEI 451 but it doesn’t appear that you have those in this set up.
No, I'm sorry, they can not. It's a totally different brain. It would be like trying to program a Ford remote to a Chevy. This keyless entry and remotes absolutely blow the original Ford keyless entry out of the water as far as range and dependability.
I do not have a website. Simply call the shop at 618-283-2776. I'm not in right now though. Will be this evening. You have the option of paying over the phone or PayPal. Thank you!
Great video series! Thank you for putting it together. Does the harness eliminate the need to change the door lock switch wiring? I've looked at the diagrams and the door lock buttons are wired differently for trucks with a keyless already installed.
The kit is for non factory keyless entry trucks only. I sell a LOT of these. It will not work and factory keyless entry trucks. You also must have working factory installed power windows and locks. Thanks!
@guol1806 The color of the plug the the passenger door plugs into the main harness, and the number of wires at the doorlock switches will tell us a lot.
Tony - Can you recommend which door lock solenoids are the best replacement? I see all kinds of brands on Amazon and RockAuto. Only want to replace the solenoids once. Which do you use? 1996 F350, crew cab, 7.3. Thank you!
To be honest, I've never bought a new doorlock actuator for these trucks. I've only ever got them out of junkyards. I'd say "Dorman" brand would probably be your best bet if buying new and should be able to get them at any local parts store. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Silly question but does this function as an alarm too? Would the horn go off if someone opens the door while the truck was locked using the remote? Thanks!
I've got factory keyless on my 96 bronco locks were working fine next day locks don't work from switch or remote both doors, lights flash when I use remote lock button ,interior lights come on when I hit open on remote but doors won't unlock, when in truck and hit door switch I hear a click from left side of dash? would appreciate your input help ,happen over night, thank you.
If you add factory power doorlocks you also get power windows. They weren't offered separately. Yes I've done it multiple times and for sure my kit would work if you did.
Great video, great idea, looks like a slam dunk. Any chance you might be able to make a T-harness for an OBS Chevy truck? Or should I just call the number in the video and talk directly to you?
so i know you said that the key less entry brand is with viper alarms but would this harness work with the viper alarms remote start? Specifically the 5706V
Great video! I know where I’m coming to if I need a keyless entry add-on. Got a 95 f150 with factory keyless entry…truck is in great condition with minimal rust. Anyways, the #8 fuse under steering column continues to pop. This particular fuse is related to the keyless entry, dome/cargo/courteously lights and a couple of other features. Have you dealt with this fuse issue on any of the factory keyless entries? Could the keyless entry module be causing this? I’m guessing I’ve got a grounded wire, bad module or bad connector. Any help would be appreciated!
I do believe it's in the module. It's the same module as the 93-94 Town Car, Grand Marquis, and Crown Victoria. I had to replace the module in my aunt's 94 Town Car for the very issue. Thank you for the compliments! Much appreciated. Please subscribe and stay tuned if you have not.
As you suggested, the keyless entry module had a couple of blown components. Local electronics store repaired and all is well. Thanks again for taking the time to help this guy out!!
Tony' what about older block nose F150s; mines a 89; also wanting remote start and the trunk button to pop the toolbox....yeah I know.....how col would that b -right, smiling. I figured to use a door popper for custom cars; without door handles. What do U think; lot of these block noses still out there, and of course can do mine as a test-bed. But seriously if interested; hit me back -thanks
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2zSn64NjN0Y.html there's a link for the "Bricknose". They are available and ready to ship but I don't offer the tool box popper.
So is it just the small ford keyfob or could I use a more advanced one like the current gen ford keyfob has? I was planning on changing the keys to a more modern style
You can not program Ford remotes to these. It's a totally different brain. Like trying to program a Ford remote to a Chevy. These are a lot better than the original Ford remotes.
No, this one won't. Please watch this video to make sure you don't already have factory keyless entry. Please click on this link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yAoRoig-l64.html
I can't show you how to do that because that's how I make my living. It requires original Ford Plugs, terminals, and special crimping equipment. I didn't change the colors of any wires, I use the wires that come with the keyless entry module.
1994 was the first year for the truck and Bronco. 94 and 95 also included the anti theft alarm. It was a $254.00 option. For some reason they stopped that and only offered the keyless entry for 96 and 97 whichwas a $170.00 option. Not sure what happened with the new body style after 97.
Can u add remote start to this unit or is there one with it?? I know it prob won't be plug and play but I would like to buy one with remote start capabilities
question. ive had the kit for about 4 months and its worked great but the last 2 weeks my key fobs will lock the truck but not unlock, the switch on the driver and passenger door will unlock it but not the fob, i hear the remote connecting to the box when i hit unlock, it just doesnt unlock the doors
These trucks did not offer a factory installed alarm in 1996. Therefore if this is happening it's aftermarket and simply just needs to be removed from the truck.
Hey Tony, do u offer an alarm package? I really want to get this keyless entry system from you but I also want to install an alarm. would installing an alarm after buying your product be an issue with wiring? or do u have any kits for sale? thank you
Sorry, I don't offer anything alarm. They're way more involved, and no, you can not use it with this system. You would need to have an alarm/keyless entry system installed somewhere. Thanks!
I'm sure there's something aftermarket out there but it's something that's never interested me. It would probably require multiple toggle switches and a push button to be mounted somewhere.
Hey Tony, would you suggest me upgrading to the aftermarket kit you provide, if the factory original is very slow and hardly works but still works nonetheless?
@@tonyscarcare5657 okay thanks I took the dash apart and don’t have that factory keyless white box and don’t have that factory reset for the key fobs either so I’m confused as to what I got under there? I does have some sort of security system and power locks and keyless entry that works already just really badly and I need to get this upgraded asap before I’m locked out 😂 any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I’ll give you a call tomorrow at some point
Hello, I am from Puerto Rico and I would love to know how I can purchase the complete system. the alarm and harness for power locks. I have a 1992 Ford Bronco.
There's no way to do a plug and play but I could probably make you something to make it simple and talk you through it over the phone for the same price. I've done it for quite a few people.
