The demo for making a Hermes Scarf continues, and I continue to record it for fun. This video is the 2nd step, where the black outline on the white silk sheet are drawn, and then different colors are place at different areas, in the same process.
As you can see, he is doing a form of line art in different steps to create the black outlines of the particular design. Each step makes certain lines darker, bolder and thicker in order to bring out certain shapes at certain area to bring out certain forms and shapes of the graphic design on the scarf. Notice that each board looks like a huge stencil with a different design, but used together, one after the other, they help create the full outline picture. He is now adding blue shades to the outlines in order to slowly fill up the scene with different colors as well as different shapes of a color to create depth.
