I thought about this and spoke to my mom about it today in fact. The only thing that makes me say no... then she's pretty well done politically. Former presidents can go out speaking and performing diplomacy, but they are set with the tradition (granted no real rule) that they can't go back to be senators because if ever speaker they're back in the line of the presidency, blah blah blah. That with their political history/clout, they are then removed from direct political forum in an unspoken way. I wouldn't object to her, but I wouldn't want everyone else to start that necessarily. I want her still active for some time. It's very conflicting for me to have had that thought. Former president's are respected, they can really be good for advisor positions, endorsing those they feel still move things forward the direction they set out, but they really do retire any authority to implement their ideas (unless I'm missing something or past presidents were mostly just less ambitious). While I know she wouldn't disappear, she would be a sage to guide others more or less. Say she runs 2028, roughly 38, two terms at about 46. Then 35+ years, of her insight but no real authority to implement it. If there were still a political position she could hold post-presidential office (maybe further stipulate, without an uproar and fight that would waste too much time and set a terrible fighting standard for the future) then definitely. If not, I'm conflicted, because she's so amazing. Maybe another position in the administration to keep things rolling for a bit and then run. I just want max AOC influence, whatever can get us that. XD
