Dane definitely gets more than he deserves. I think he just got so big and then one person said he sucks and everyone was afraid to like him. Retaliation on CD was incredible. His live shows are great and the dude can improv. If he wanted to come back now he would probably crush it.

@@wheeloftime2908 Comedians are typically people who were picked on, beat up and made fun of for most their childhood. Many of them used humor as a defense mechanism. They learned how to engage with and distract other kids with jokes, impressions and sometimes insults. When they got into comedy, they had to battle every week for stage time and had to deal with drunken hecklers dozens of times, just so they could perform their acts. Standing on a stage all alone and trying to hold everyone's attention and make them laugh, is one of the hardest forms of entertainment performance. Hecklers can throw off a comedians timing and distract them. It's like hearing an echo when you speak that doesn't match your voice. Comedians aren't being mean when they rip into hecklers. It's the hecklers who are being complete selfish assholes by demanding attention, when people paid good money to pay attention to someone else. I think it would great if it were legal for crowds to beat hecklers sensless, so badly that they would wake up in the hospital wondering how they got there. And then, they could be told, they were heckling a perfomer and got what they wanted, attention. Maybe that would wake these assholes up, because nobody paid to listen their dumb asses talk to the performers.

I liked Joan's comeback. Sometimes it looks like comedians are being bullies, but they're actually trying to soften reality. We need to be able to laugh: it's important to our mental health and longevity.

I never realised how derailing hecklers could be. I respect stand up comics so much more, these hecklers need to have someone stand by with a boxing glove, and then when they heckle, the guy runs in and punches the hecklers face, then runs off.
Sometimes hecklers save shows. One time, an old veteran comedian was running out of material at a long show, which is understandable. And everyone was getting stale and overwhelmed. A heckler booed him and gave him a little more material to continue the show. Of course the heckler roasted and blasted, but in the back of his mind he was like "jackpot" lol 😆
Frank Zammetti in truth though, Rivers made a poor choice throwing out a Helen Keller joke. The "heckler" has a deaf son for chrissake, was triggered by Rivers' callous disregard for the disabled (not to mention kids, Joan Rivers hates kids man) , tells her that particular Keller joke of hers wasn't funny. She then throws a fit. In my opinion, No one is the winner there.

No my friend, you didn't. You know Dane Cook is a giant fuck face. You know his vanilla jokes are only funny to women who find him attractive. What we saw in this video was one of those women. This woman in particular is semi "office hot". She's not even close to being "TV hot" but among her group of friends she's the prettiest (which isn't a great achievement). She knows it and therefore is the most outspoken and confident of her group of female friends. Usually this works out for her, she's first one to get attention at the local sports bar where her and her increasingly-desperate-to-find-a-husband friends trawl every Thurday, Friday and Saturday nights for a man. She pretends to get offended when some guy makes a comment about her being good looking as she walks down the street (but in reality it made her day and she can't wait to tell her friends about how "awful" it was being "objectified"). She had a back n' forth with Dane Cook at a show 2 years ago and has been retelling this story to anyone who would listen ever since. In her mind she's already married to him and helping him write jokes for his upcoming MTV special. And so when Mr Cook the fuck face was doing a show in her area, she insisted all her friends join her so they could witness how funny she is and how happy Mr Cook the fuck face will be to see her in the audience again and how much he loves interacting with her. You didn't side with Dane Cook. You inherently recognized the fact the woman is a classic example of the delusional bitch we all know and loathe, and you enjoyed seeing her put in her place. Dane Cook was just the tool that did it... both figuratively and literally. Her friend nearest the camera not only saw it coming, but is fucking LOVING every second of it. I like her friend.

A few things there Dean. Joe was a grand champion in that low grade martial art and watching him compete would show you how effective those kicks of his are. But apart from that he has at least 2 black belts from different BJJ schools and is an absolute animal. Lastly, if you can't see the irony in that run on sentence of yours then I'm not surprised you think the way that you do.
