Sorry for the late reply. I haven't touched the game for a long time, but I sure am happy the video gave you some good ideas. Good luck, although maybe by now you were already able to realise them :)
2:03 you actually dont need to power up the startercapsule because its cheating its own power. But you need power for all the other buildings including the lifepod you can build and looks like your first capsule 12:43 and you can just click at the left number and it will automaticly transfered into the right number so you dont have to fiddle around with the numberkeys and such ;)
I was wondering this. Never really looked in to it though. Still very nice to know :) Maybe they should change the model instead or something. Although that would be weird later on when you can build your own capsules. And I also did not know you could just click on the number. Very nice tip indeed. Now I wished I would have known that before, since that is really a good tip. Thank you for letting me know, and possibly for everyone that will read this comment! I unfortunately cannot pin this, but than again not a whole lot of comments. So I hope people will read the comment section too :)
Great tips thank you. I am quite early in to my game, but already I can see improvements I can make in the layout thanks to this video. Also great tips about labelling the already visited bases - because I think the icon stays on the map even once you have destroyed absolutely everything doesn’t it? Also I love the idea about putting down a well and small living module all over as well. I will be doing that as well. 👍
I am happy you found the tips helpfull. I wish you the best of luck in your adventures. And you are right indeed, to just build enough wells and survival capsules all around. You never know when they might come in handy. Personally I have re-used them many times.
A big tip that would be nice to know. How do you load materials into the starting pod printer? Needing some materials to build my base but can't print them because resources in my inventory can't be used.
What was it that you were trying to make. Did you found out by now? I haven't played the game for a long time, although I could start it again to see if I can help you with this quest. ps sorry for the late replay. Work and such got me really distracted :)
Haven't played the game in a while but thank you for the added tip. It is kinda funky at times searching for that connection, but than again it is in early access. So it can only go up from here. I maybe will do a follow up. Not sure if people would be interested in this. But it will give the possibility to share the extra tips given in the comments. Which is nice for those would would like to know more.
Thank you. I am glad that you liked the video! You can use the torch to repair buildings. Arm the tool and click on the broken building. To add to that. At some moment your solar panels will get dirty. You than need to use the air compresser tool. In your inventory get a can of CO2, and arm the tool and click on the panel. These bottles can also be refilled where you get your oxygen.
First playthrough and having trouble finding more small circuit board but you gave me an idea i have a rover and the scrap atv i might steal the small voard for my co2 scrubber until i can find some small circuits
It can be a struggle, but as long as you roam the land and get into the broken down remains of bases. You are bound to find many more. Set the option to show pickables to make it a little bit easier for yourself too. I wish you luck on your travels :)
The only real complaint I have with this game so far is that the tech tree progression is so random. You get access to a lot of things early in the tech trees that are just minor quality of life improvements that aren't really necessary. And just about everything that's truly useful are at least beyond the science bench and usually require multiple blueprints on top of it. You end building a base in a really hodgepodge and haphazard way because you don't have access to any of the stuff that would let you build out a base in a way that follows any kind of a logical progression. You basically have to be at or near end game in order to start building out a base properly in a way that makes sense. But by that point you're in too deep with what you've got to want to tear it all down and build a proper base from scratch.
I do agree that the game heavily relies on exploration. Which from the gekko is kinda rough. And than you have the whole RNG thing going for you, hoping you get the stuff you want (or load the game and retry, which I tend not to like in games). The game has or had potential, but I haven't found myself playing the game much after. Which is sad to be honest, since I did very much enjoyed my time recording and building a base. About building the base. I think you need at least one playthrough to figure out what items/buildings you will be getting end game. When you than start a new playthrough you can plan your base much better in advance. Which I am personally oke with. But if you are short on time, that could be an issue. Thanks for the comment, have a good day :)
