Great review, Denver. Thank you. . I went in June 2023 with 2 of my best girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. I am pleased to say we had a blast! Thankfully everything is much different and better now that Covid is over . The swim up bars were in full affect! No long waits and you did not have to get out of the pools to get served. The wait staff even walked passed my swim up room pool to see if I wanted a drink. The service was great. No trash on the ground. It is a beautiful resort. The lazy river was the best part! The property really is massive. They have little trolleys running every few minutes that you can jump on to ride from the lobby to your room or you room to the restaurants so a lot has changed for the better since Covid. I am going back with my hubby and family in a couple of months to celebrate his birthday.
@@kodiethorsen1109When I went in June 2023 the beach was fine, but there was quite a bit of seaweed for them to control. We just got back a couple of weeks ago and it was better managed. Enjoy and have a great time!
Been watching many resort walkthrough videos and this one has been the absolute best. I usually don't comment on youtube videos but I had to give you props man, keep up the great work!
Really appreciated the review. You covers the most what people needed and get an idea of this resort. Thank you and the amenities of fridge and any kitchenet in the suit. But over all very good. Thank you.
This is a very thorough review of the resort. I really appreciated the all the details you went into because they are things that can really affect the experience of my stay. Things like the "ribs" and gross bbq sauce, to the closed pool bars (this one was a deal breaker), even down to the murky waters at the beach. You provided an excellent balance of good and bad, and covered important things that I would be thinking about during my stay. Super helpful thanks!
Great video, This resort also has a bowling area. I pay yearly to be privilege we got this membership years ago, I like the privilege services, but you do not have to pay for membership, just pay per visit if you want. Now, regarding bartenders, we always tip, they do not make good money, and if you tip, you will be showing your appreciation and in return will be getting even better services! Thanks for this video :)
Braaaavooooo!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾... i was secretely thinking like no way i am going to spend half an hour of my life watching a hotel review video! And here i am... haha! Well done!👌🏾
Great job!!! This resort is fairly new. It opened January 2019. I sent clients here September 2021 and they LOVED it! They had a Master Privilege Swim-up Suite. I just happened to be in Punta Cana at the same time, but staying in a different resort. I took one day and visited them at Ocean El Faro and toured it. The Master Privilege Swim up have 2 rooms and a double lanai with a Jacuzzi on it! Plus, there is a 1/2 bath and large bathroom off the bedroom area. We had a blast. It was an end unit and directly across from one of the swim-up bars. The bartender was AWESOME!!! About every 15-20 minutes he would come over to us and bring us new drinks :-) We NEVER left the swim-up. Unfortunately, during COVID, many resorts were experiencing the same issues with little staff, which caused restaurants not to open every night, very little entertainment and almost ALL resort casinos were closed. I'm heading back to Ocean El Faro resort this September 2023. I'm sure it will be a good experience. Again, great video and very informative.
This is the resort i think I’m going with the resort looks beautiful and online the rooms look great as well had to do some research before booking , really well done review and the price os actually great from everything else I’ve seen so far
Great overview!! Thanks. I really appreciated the honesty and you weren't being critical just giving all the details. I would love to hear in the comments if things have gotten better as far as service in 2023 and if everything has reopened.
He did a great job with his review. The property really is massive. I t didn't look like they had them while he and his girlfriend were there, but when we went in June, They have little trolleys running every few minutes that you can jump on to ride from the lobby to your room or you room to the restaurants so a lot has changed for the better since his review.
Hi Denver and Teresa, Excellent video. Are the restaurants you showed in the beginning part of the food package/resort? or you need to pay separately for that?
Great video,we’re visiting in June and I’d like to know if all the restaurants are free with all inclusive or is it just the buffet?,and is tipping expected ?
Thanks for all the information! How long of a walk is it to the beach from the rooms typically? Also, if we want to stream stuff what would you recommend to connect to the tv’s with? Thanks again !
I went in June 2023 and they now have trolleys running every few minutes all day long. They must not have had them when he made his video. There was never a wait and you can jump on to go from your room to the restaurants, or the lobby to your room, etc. They will stop for you. We had a great time!
Hello Denver, I'm planning to go there from Montreal in march! In our group, we have someone who has trouble walking long distances. I saw a couple of multiple seats golf carts in your great video review and I was wondering if they use them to carry guests from the rooms area up to the shops or restaurants and back?
Thank you for the amazing review, do you suspect the privilege more of a necessity during peak times. I don’t want to pay more when I don’t have to. Also did you notice any vendors walking along the beach in this area?
might be worth privilege if it was busies. minimal vendors on the beach but on wednesday they let them inside the main stripe and they were super annoying
I noticed on the menus it shows the costs for each meal... i had the understanding that it was all covered included in the total cost of all inclusive??
Hello, If I booked allinclusive options all of this restaurants are for free for me? I read that this hotel is open for locals guy and for me is a big disadvantage. Maybe You have a something to recommended in Republic of Dominicana?
There was one or two restaurants that were only open to privilege members. However there was more than enough variety for regular members. Locals are allowed on weekends only. It was a bit of a disadvantage as we noticed some of the locals were being prioritized when waiting in line for the restaurants. This was our first time in the Dominican Republic, but we’ve heard good things about the Bavaro hotels and the Riu!
My family and I just visited this hotel 7-22-23. We had a bad experience..The food was no good..Everything is loaded with gease...We could only eat at the buffet and restaurant 66 because the other restaurant needed reservations...My daughter and I ended up having diarrhea from the food and we reported it to the staff and they did nothing
@@DenverandTeresa thanks for the quick reply. I expected there to be transfers but couldn’t see it posted anywhere on our tickets. We’ve never flown AC - heading there on Saturday Jan 6th. I’ll let you know how it pans out. Looking forward to some sand and sun.
so confused. We want to travel with kids so we won't be staying at the Adults only section. Is there a swim up hotel room in the family section? Can you swim in it even at night? We want to travel in August 2023, do you know if they still have covid mask wearing restrictions?
I found this resort not very helpful we was taken there after a cancelled flight it looks nice but that’s about it the staff were just rude dropped two older ladies off in the dark and just drove off they were stuck in the dark with suitcases with no clue as to what floor or block they were in we was ignored at the bar 15 to 20 mins to get a drink only two staff on we called a bell boy to pick up the cases never came we had to wheel them and the hand luggage bk to the reception in soaring heat nearly passed out it was a long way pay more go to dreams only lovely staff and very welcoming 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻😟
Big hotel bad really bad, no good staff, bad clean, bad service around there, I was there 3 weeks ago with my family, the only good thing is the rapid river...and the only good restaurant is Sakura, Italian one is the worst,
I was there fairly recently and our experience was horrible. My husband and I checked out the very next day and checked into a different resort....along with 2 other couples. The bathroom flooded, room smelled of mold, only 2 restaurants were open a day, the staff isn't friendly nor helpful, waited forever to order our food the day we flew in, the resort is open to the locals which makes it look crowded (to me that's unsafe) and the feather that broke the camels back was the super aggressive time share pitch that we kind of was forced to sit through until my husband got loud with them. The place is gorgeous with great potential but they didn't quite make it. I recommend people save their money and check in elsewhere.
