For applying OCI from india seems like the applicant on tourist visa is not eligible but is residential permit. How to apply for residential permit? Or anyway for a person on 5 years tourist visa to apply for OCI within india? Secondly, does OCI has passport number on it. For instance a minor under 10 has a US passport with validity 5 years expiring in 2027 and is applying for OCI in 2023 so should he/she apply for OCI renewal based upon the 5 years validity on passport (2027) or based on OCI expiring in 2028?
