What kind of snake was that?

@@amberdunlap7865 that looks , to me, like a blacksnake or black racer. There aren't many snakes on Ocracoke. I've seen water moccasins there, but that doesn't look like one.

It really is an awesome and fun place to visit. I had been thinking about camping there for a while and finally everything lined up. I wasn’t sure what to expect on this trip. I had been out there before years ago but camping overnight was kind of a bucket list trip to scratch off the list. Ended up being pretty fun and I’d definitely consider a return trip in the future. The crabs were a lot of fun. They were everywhere! The snake footage was just a lucky catch...there at the right time. When I came back by that spot just moments later, it had already moved on. The beach driving was fun and plenty of space out there in places. Glad you enjoyed the vid. Thanks so much for watching!!!

There were fewer trucks out there than I expected, but a good number of people hanging out and fishing. I hope you get a chance to get back down there. Hey my friend! Thanks so much for stopping by my channel. No worries I totally understand, I still upload a lot but sadly don’t have much time to watch much these days. I’m chronically behind. Yes this was not the kind of adventure I’m normally up to, but this was part of a big eastern/coastal NC trip I did back at the end of October. It was pretty awesome out there. It was warmer than expected, though that water was still a little chilly when it rushed up on me. I was further out than I realized lol! Yeah man I love love love my Tacoma. Its perfectly suited for outdoor adventuring! Thanks so much for checking out my video, much appreciated!

Yeah man it was super awesome! I had a great time. I hadn’t been there since I was a small kid. I drove by Oregon Inlet on my way home and it looked fantastic but it was packed. Ocracoke was way more laid back than it was at Hattaras. But I have no idea how it would be in the Spring or Summer. Depending on what you want to do while you’re there, probably be more easy going before Memorial Day, but just make your reservations in advance for sure. I was there late October and the campground was busy but no where near capacity. The town of Ocracoke was bustling and I couldn’t wait to get out of town but the rest of the island was not crowded at all. You’ll have a blast if you go back. Thanks for checking out my video!!!
