Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Paul Rudd was guest programming one night, and for his introduction to that movie he just explains the history of his long-running Conan O’Brian prank!😂
@StephanieDiaz I totally agree!! I’m obsessed with this montage! The song Hush goes so well with it too. Truly artistic! Been sharing it w/ppl also!! Thanx TCM🧡🧟♀️🖤💀🧡🎶
The movies shown in October 2022 were excellent. They really took me back. Ah, sweet memories. I had seen all of them growing up and through my adulthood. So, happy for “ underground “ , I have always been into cult films even before they were classified as such. ❤
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year because I LOVE watching horror movies/shows any time of the year. I held onto cable just for TCM all through the pandemic. $130/month for one channel! Then I discovered I could stream Sling for less than a third of the price, and get TCM there. Just sayin’.
What even was life before TCM? What did I look forward to? I guess it all ramped up to this. Woe is meeee. 😉 Edit: I'll share all the films I recognize while I'm at it. They are: 0:00 Plan 9 From Outer Space 0:07 Frankenstein (Possibly Bride of?) 0:08 Spirit of the Beehive 0:09 Rope 0:11 Carnival of Souls 0:12 A Hard Day's Night 0:17 Freaks 0:20 The Lodger 0:30 Peeping Tom (Citation needed?) 0:38 Cat People 0:42 Seventh Victim 0:53 High Noon 0:56 Arsenic and Old Lace 1:00 Poltergeist 1:03 Metropolis 1:14 Forbidden Planet 1:18 Godzilla sequel (Which one I'm not certain) 1:20 Robocop 1:31 Mac and Me There were a few duplicates where a previous movie had more clips shown but I didn't include those.
Personally, I frequented Cartoon Network from its inception ‘till about 2006 when its programming standards dropped off a cliff. Since then, TCM’s been my safe haven from all the follies of modern television.
@@stoogefest16 I remember their misgiven attempt at reality shows, I only recently found out the name of a Survivor-esque one I watched with my mom back then (Survive This it was called), but man was that ever an odd phase. It did improve in the early-mid 2010s though, I enjoy that era of shows a lot. But nothing beats my beloved TCM, it's astonishing the care they put into their deserving programming.
@@bespectacledheroine7292 Yeah, they exhibited signs of a brief resurgence in the early 2010’s with mid-to-high quality programs like Adventure Time, Regular Show, OTGW, Steven Universe, but it was largely in spite of their sub-par broadcasting standards. Their daily schedule still almost solely consisted of ceaseless reruns of a select few token programs, namely Teen Titans Go! Gone was the variety and careful curation of yesteryear. A real goddamned shame.
