I do monthly spotify playlists and have also been getting into RDJ's off streaming discography, im proud of myself for knowing a good amount of these tracks from my combing through all his projects and soulseeking every album of his I could find. This is a great mix though, it's wild that he has enough music out for people to compile his work and have almost every fan compilation have a uniqueness and listenability.
Honestly, besides the tracks on SAW 85-92 and some popular ones like “4”, or “windowlicker” I have no idea how people differentiate between the tracks or easily remember which is which lol
The Aphex deep cuts are honestly why I love him. Like you can spend an entire lifetime listening to material of his another Aphex fan may not even know exists. I think drawing attention to the myriad of loose songs and projects he has on the internet ether is a huge part of getting into his music. You almost have to do the work to find the other half of his work that's not "on the books" so to speak, and the fact so much material isn't marketed or like advertised shows he is an artist at heart, because he doesn't really care about monetizing his musical vault.
