Your description of being in a funk really resonated with me! I was in just a plain graph notebook for a while, because nothing felt right/made sense, and it was so freeing to be messy, play with pens, and experiment with my handwriting. I emerged from the funk in a Hobonichi Weeks, which is my version of back to basics, while also still using a notebook, and I agree that going back to a system that is tried and true was very helpful. I have a system revolving around Take A Note for 2025 that I'm really excited about, but I'm happy to be closing out 2024 in my "basics"!
It's important to see and hear that's it's ok to make whatever changes you need to to your system. I also prefer to keep things as simple as possible ❤ Great update!
It's nice seeing your video again! I miss watching how you do things on your journal and planner. It's probably just me but it does not feel complete when i binge watch videos about notebooks and not see yours. 😅 yours is relaxing to watch. ❤
Hello again!!! ❤ When I was pregnant, I COULD NOT read or write without nausea. I got a TRC black passport TN and bullet journaled, so I had at least SOME record of the day. Then I had a highlight of the day in my five-year journal. It lasted my whole pregnancy (the nausea never went away). TNs are amazing tools when one needs to simplify.
Thanks for sharing about your planner funk and what you did to get out of it. I’m very similar in that I get overwhelmed with too many books; I try to keep it to 4 inserts in my one TN standard. And Kaitlin! I knew you were a UX Designer but I didn’t know you’re ALSO in FinTech. So funny!
