Even in weather like shown here, Marquette is still more majestic and glorious when compare to the cesspool I live in called, Tallahassee... As soon as I can find a teaching position in Marquette or in 10 years, when retire from teaching in Florida, I will be living on the shores of Gitche Gumee! Ps- LOVE your channel, keep the vids coming... If you wish, send me a PM, I was in Marquette thhis past Summer and will be back in 2018 too, lets get lunch. Take Care!
Haha I hope you like the cold, if you are coming from Florida. If you can put up with that for half the year then it's definitely worth it! It's beautiful here year round. Let me know when you're up here next .
I lived in Indian River, Mi before so, I have an idea of what to expect weather wise but, Marquette is way better than both Indian River or Tallahassee. I will keep in touch, best wishes!
Nicely done Alex. Sincerely appreciate your work. Enjoyed the “Yooper” series and the Hayduke Trail film where I’m sure Edward Abbey would have smiled to have seen the environment so warmly respected. I wish you continued success in your career. Move over Bear Grylls, there’s a new lad in town!
@@WildernessMindset Welcome. Both series involved survival skills, hence; the Bear Grylls reference. I look forward to viewing your future work. Take care.
Alex Maier Please stay in touch Alex. I’ll be on the lookout for your work. I encourage you to narrate more about your excellent knowledge about the environment and being with it. You know, the stuff that’s going through your mind when your out there. I’m developing, pun intended, a website at: jm3-studios.com for my photography work. If you visit the site, I I hope you will enjoy the images. Safe travels. Be well.
@@josephmerrelliii3572 will do, that is definitely the direction I'm going as I make more videos. I've been caught up with work lately so I haven't had much time for personal projects but I have some ideas brewing. Excellent photography by the way!
@@WildernessMindset Thanks Alex. Enjoy Montana. I've had the privilege of traveling to Montana and hiking from Waterton Alberta south across the 49th parallel to a rather elaborate ranger station called "Goat Haunt." From Goat Haunt there are a number of excellent hikes; especially one that heads west across the continental divide. I think it would be really cool to stand at a spot where water goes in two directions. Rafted on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River - very swift current and my son thought it was great fun that he soaked me to the bone when he was at the tiller and hit a swell head-on. Snow melt is very, Very cold; way beyond any construct of what 'refreshing' could convey. Good memories. Not incidentally, Montana is a photographer's paradise! Be well.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they call 'gitche gumee' Superior, they said, never gives up her dead When the gales of November come early
