I wanted to ask, I'm heavily considering ordering the Quest 2 but I want to know if the Quest 2 can handle PC Avatars on VRChat or will it do what the Quest originally did where you could only see certain things so it wouldn't mess with the headset. I think that was fixed with the pc cable for the Quest but im curious about the Quest 2 performance on VRChat.

Just got one of these for my 13 year old Daughter for her up coming Birthday & a Christmas present. With Covid being out here all electronics have been going like crazy but me being the Mama Bear I am I decided to stalk this product as soon as my Daughter told me she wanted it. I listen to my child & I support her wants as well as her needs. She's a good kid so she definitely gets what she ask for. I don't feel bad for it. I never got what I wanted as a kid but then there were 8 of us. She is my one & only & this is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to electronics.

I started VR with the Oculus Go, and I loved it, when I went over to test out the Vive, I loved it even more, I skipped a generation (quest 1) for standalone vr, and regretted not going into it, when I heard it got discontinued, knowing oculus I knew something was being released, so I asked my parents if I can get the quest 2 for my birthday( Late October) they said yes. Cookies im debating to whether to get a vive cosmos or cosmos elite (which is a bit pricy but still good), but now im thinking of getting the quest 2 (cos its so cheap and looks decently good). Its my first vr and im wondering what would you think would be better?

Mercurii if you’re looking for a full virtual reality experience and have a powerful enough PC, I’d say go for the Vive cosmos, but if you don’t mind lower frame rate, I’d say the Oculus Quest 2 since for $79 USD more you can get the Oculus Link and play the same games on Steam VR, from what I’ve seen in reviews the quest 2, it’s great. I’d personally recommend the Quest 2 since it’s completely wireless with 6DoF and you can use SideQuest to play games that are community made that aren’t on the Oculus store or on Steam

I think that many of the shortcomings are to reduce the base cost and to get it into more hands. I actually think it was smart to bundle it with a cheap strap and then once hooked into VR, they can decide to invest in some more improvements. I'm also guessing that having a single panel is cheaper - and is that why the IPD adjustments are so restricted? Again, I think this was done to make it more affordable for 1st time VR buyers, but.....I'm not sure I agree with this one so much. If someone's first foray into VR is blurry and uncomfortable, this is a bad thing.

ive already played PSVR at my friends house a few times and when i saw this video the first time i was so shocked about the things that the quest 2 can do and now finally mines gonna be here in a few days ive already expirienced vr when i played at my friends house but im so excited i cant wait for it to get shipped here and btw this was probably the best informational video about the quest 2 ive ever seen thanks for making this masterpiece of a video

I wish there were a few more storage options 32gb and 128 also expandable memory would be nice for those who ether want to go all out or for those that couldn’t afford higher capacity models but it’s really good and easy to use
