Great video buddy welcome to the future of gaming entertainment. I notice a few pancake downvotes, it's a shame they are missing out. hehe. The reason why you don't expose the Rift to direct sunlight is becuase the lenses act like a magnifying glass, so as you can imagine it would burn the screens inside the headset.

This helped a lot besides that I’m going for a sitting setup which I’m making in the next week for elite dangerous and only problem I might have is the fact that it might be hard setting it up for a seat setup and not a stand up one

The Rift is amazing. Have you got passed the motion sickness yet and found your VR legs? Re the 3rd sensor, I thought you got a 5m usb extension cable included from Oculus when you buy a separate additional sensor?

The motion sickness is much less for me now. We did get the extension included with our sensor... I'm not sure if that has always been standard or not though.

JDM World I didn’t realize this was titled Oculus Rift I meant i’m saving up to get the Oculus Quest ^^ since I know my computer is a low end PC and I already know it won’t run well with VR so i’m getting the Oculus quest since it doesn’t require a PC :-) !

had ours 9 months we have tried to set it up wrong hdmi leatake i back, get HDMI splitter!! still wrong! we cant see the pic on screen only thru lenses this is long winded lol

Sure thing! I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to. I have used it sitting down for games that are played that way. Moss for example.

It depends on the kit you buy. The one I bought included the Rift, the 2 Touch Controllers, 3 sensors, and a USB extension cable.

I have a larger than average size head and I can wear my Rift with normal sized glasses. Big glasses wouldn't work though. I don't notice any eye strain... but its unusable for me without my corrective lenses.

I would guess that you need to look over your BIOS settings and see what you have going on in there.

Just out of curiosity why are you trying to use the hdmi port on your motherboard? just a heads-up once you put a graphics card in your system any ports related to video on your motherboard are generally disabled once it detects an added video card.

There is a sensor in the headset that will cause it to turn on when you put it on your head.

Its hard to tell whats going on. Are you connected with power? Is the Rift software installed and running? It could always be a bad unit if everything else seems ok.

When you buy the case, does it need to have 3x 3.0 USB ports and 1x 2.0 USB ports. I been looking for a case that has these and I can’t find it. I’m confused on how this works, my mother board has many USB ports

Most new cases will only support USB 3.0. You can plug in via a case port or via a port on the system board itself. Or into ports on an expansion card. Eventually USB 2.0 will be a thing of the past and there ill only be USB 3.0 or better. In my case I used an older system board that had USB 2.0 on the system board. I added a USB 3.0 PCI card plugging 2 sensors there and 1 sensor into the board itself.

I think you can get by with two. You can always add a third later if you aren't happy. 3 gives a super solid play environment though.

If you don't have enough USB ports you will want to add a USB card. That is covered in the video. Check it out!

It’s so stupid that the controllers only work with the one headset and can’t work with any other...... huge flaw, they could make so much more money if they allowed other headsets to be used with them... oh well guess will try to get vive controllers since they do allow this.

Yes, its all done with an iphone. We have a c-stand and a mount to get the camera up high and above the stuff we are filming. Eventually we will upgrade to better equipment if the channel takes off. We need 1000 subs first :)
