This is an anime that’s actually relatable and more realistic

The conversation in this show feels so natural. The bar scene is my favorite because It genuinely feels like a normal conversation between friends

The character design on this is so incredibly charming

After seeing all the episodes and now watching this first one again, I can't help but see it differently knowing what I know and really notice things and characters who I wouldn't have thought twice about! Love it!

10/10. A Masterpiece. It's like if Quentin Tarantino made an anime.

This whole anime is fantastic. I keep coming back to this video just to watch the opening scene with the idol song. It's such great foreshadowing for all the characters we meet and the parts they play in the story, even if you don't realize it on your first watch. On top of that, the combination of the music and the visual beats that go along with them is kind of mesmerizing. It really gives the feeling of "something's about to start" and the final part of the scene where the music shifts from what we the audience hear to how it sounds on Odokawa's radio is a fantastic transition from a prelude to the story proper.

Every week I kept wondering why this anime never made the Top 10 lists. Yeah, maybe people prefer fan service over anthropomorphic characters, but this was my show of the season. I won't spoil anything, watch this and you'll know if you want to watch the rest.

5:33 - 5:41 These words hit me the very first time I heard them: they already introduce Odokawa as the simple and kind man he will act as, although he's also a bit too much blunt (5:43, 14:41) and never breaks his character as a middle-aged man unable to juggle well with young people's world (7:01 - 7:14). Most all of this characteristics relate to his backstory in one way or another, and it's also amazing to see how deeply he has developed in only 13 episodes.

i started this a few days ago and i can tell you right now please don't sleep on this anime. the writing is phenomenal

I hope this inspires more people to watch. This is my fav anime this season.

Just binged this today two years after release. It’s crazy how the writing is better the second time around

Oddtaxi? More like Godtaxi, this show is legit freaking amazing, the first ep. got me hooked all the way back in april with the Tarantino-like dialogue, the tight mystery kept me invested and the giga plot twist in the last ep could give Shyamalan a heart attack. If you haven't yet, you owe it to yourself to watch this modern classic. Also, Burusu Springstii.

the twist of the last episode (foreshadowed MANY times across the series) alone makes it an 8/10 easily.

I dont usually like anime with dark scenery or no fight scenes but I'd rate this a 9/10 because of good characters and a great ending. Not to mention the story and the animation.

For anyone put off by the aesthetic: endure it, this anime would not exist without it, it's integral to the mystery. Best writing of any anime this year, think Paranoia Agent, Tarantino, Innaritu, swirled into an mystery.

I somehow ended up skipping this show but this Ep1 reminds me that I had missed out on something I HAVE to trace back and watch.

Please please please watch Odd Taxi, it is honestly one of the best anime that I've ever seen. If you liked Durarara you will love Odd Taxi, it has the same vibe but more realistic. And yes the animals are off putting but trust me, they are there for a reason.

I had to check out the first episode to see if it's as good as everyone said and so far it's living up to the hype

When i went to petco, the guy working there saw my anime shirt (i dont remember which one i was wearing) and he told me to watch this. I never saw him again but i think of him when i come back to this. Hope hes happy and well

so, first time seeing this episode, but some details I noticed when rewatching this episode. 3:38. this alpaca is stealing the drugs later mentioned 21:23-21:46. Edit: so at 12:04 we see the silhouette of possibly the alpaca selling the stolen drugs to Dobu also, this is something I noticed the first time through, at 1:55 we hear about someone going missing in Nerima. later, at 2:38, the radio station receives mail from a Tokyo high school student, the exact same description of the missing student in Nerima. later, at 4:28, we have this exchange. Odokawa: where to? that blue hippo: Nerima

This show is so underrated. 10/10
