Between July and September 2023, Ormskirk and District Family History Society (registered charity no. 1004895) ran a fundraising campaign in partnership with Lancashire County Council and Crowdfunding Lancashire, with the aim of raising enough money to publish two booklets on the history of our area.
Eight months after our crowdfunder ended, we’re delighted to present an overview of the project to date, featuring a preview of our first publication, Family History and the Lost Buildings of West Lancashire, and a summary of how our second booklet has begun to evolve during the spring of 2024.
