@@crazyfrank2027 I'll be honest with you, I haven't played the earlier GoW games, I just saw random videos on RU-vid of him basically just murdering everyone 😂
If Kratos died fighting Odin or Thor, he would go to Valhalla, which is a place where people who fought dying, and it is located in Asgard, where Kratos will probably fight Odin and Thor.
@@stephenfontanilla kratos was heavily holding back the entire game, cory barlog said it himself which means he is more powerful than odin and thor so i doubt he'll die in god of war ragnarok.
Kratos killed the Greek pantheon, who were firmly established to be immortal. The Norse pantheon was not granted that same privilege. Odin has every reason to fear Kratos.
Odin only fears his lack of control over Ragnarok. I feel like Odin will be too busy trying to avoid Ragnarok that he'll not notice Kratos approaching with a chaos blade behind his back, hastening Ragnarok by a longshot
@@ItachiUchiha_1724 I assume this is satire, most gods that die during Ragnarok die in a very specific way, like Odin being eaten by Fenrir or Thor and the World Serpent killing each other. At least in the normal myths.
Just to clear some things up, Cory confirmed Kratos to be both Immortal anf a God so he isn't a demi-god or mortal or any such thing. Kratos isn't weaker in this game either, just doesn't use his rage much and he holds back A LOT.
Not to mention that kratos in this game scales above existence sense Cory said those dews from the Yggdrasil are drops of existence levels of power yet they do nothing to him. Plus he still has a little bit of the power of hope in him and not to mention that he could end a pantheon in a day. He is ridiculously strong but the best way of summing kratos up is by saying “kratos is ragnarok, he is the destruction of the gods”
When Odin and Thor find out who Kratos is… …Odin is going to hang himself and Thor is going to go out on his dress again like they did in the mythology.
@@raphaeljacobmendoza9893 I believe so yes, because in GoW 4 there is a scene where there are drawings on one of the walls showing 4 different lands with their symbols and one of them had the Eye of Ra as the symbol (there was also the letter omega as the symbol of ancient Greece). Also Egyptian mythology is badass as well so why not Kratos have a shot at it too hehe.
The Hands of Death could not defeat me, the Sisters of Fate could not hold me, and you will not see the end of this day. I will have my revenge - Kratos Enraged 💫
I can just imagine one of his ravens flying hurriedly back to Odin's domain "There's somebody new here, seems a bit odd so I thought you should know, he's pale, has red lines across him, big guy, looks, Greek maybe?" Odin, having extensively read Greek history and events: "Oh fuck"
It makes sense. Kratos killed off the entire Olympian Pantheon. Who’s to say he won’t do the same to Asgard. In a way, he may very well be Ragnarok given form
thing is, if we're being strict, Odin is 'built' to fear only the Ragnarok. Odin will only start to fear Kratos if he realises that Kratos is the embodiment of Ragnarok, instead of 'just another foil in his plans'
Except the Norse Gods didnt fear Ragnarok. They knew it was coming and died to stop the world from being destroyed and in turn, save humanity to start again.
It's understandable, especially if he knows Kratos's true power(Kratos HEAVILY holds back in this game) I mean,we're talking about the guy who killed every god of Olympus cause of daddy issues
some people in this comments section DO NOT understand that kratos is being downplayed for the sake of gameplay. they said that if they allowed the player to use kratos how he is in "reality", the game would be way too easy.
Another info : cory alone says that new kratos could beat old kratos (gow 3). Imagine how powerful this new kratos if he can beat the old kratos in gow3 who already capable to destroy an entire pantheon
Kratos is hela's grandfather if he does go to hel he would just be like: "Mind sending me back real quick?" And hela would be like: "okie dokie paw paw"
@@user-iu6if4wm4w yes he once told that also he stated that kratos' has huge physical strength he said to atrus that kratos is most brutal and merciless person he have ever seen and he also stated his strength when he lifted the temple mimir said "when the answer is brute strength I'll be glad to be on your side"
@Cathal O'connell I don’t think you realize that Corey Barlog himself said that GOW 2 was in production at the end of production of the first game. A.k.a it’s been in production for almost three years now
Even if Kratos dies at the hands of either Thor or Odin. Kratos wont Stay dead. Remember, he has cheated death Many times in GoW 1, 2, and 3. So he will likely return one way or another.
@@lonelyzxd5134 given that Santa Monica plan to make 5 games in Norse mythology Kratos could finally accept death and go to Valhalla by the end of this arc.

One of the best parts of this game was when Mimir figures out you’re Kratos. They knew what he did and why he was the godkiller 😂 Odin probably told them to leave that man alone and baldur got all hot over it 💀
@@andytaylor8795 Thor literally told him that he knows his ghost of sparta allias and what he did. He even tells him " this is the men that killed a pantheon because they hurt his feelings"? They are well aware who Kratos is and what he has done.
The Green Mage he’s still powerful really powerful but he isn’t in his prime when he was younger like GOW 2/3 he is older too & Baulder says in their first fight he’s *old and slow*
I mean can we really blame him , this guy has destroyed a whole pantheon , destroyed the landscape , litterarlykilled all the Giants that created everything, escaped hell like 4 times got killed 6 times and was still able to take on the gods from a whole new pantheon
And just think, the entire time that was happening Nyx was looking at it all going: This is fine.🙂 Because she fucking knew that none of it was going to affect her.
It's literally gonna be the same thing it was with Zeus. Odin's unnecessary fear of Kratos (a man who wants nothing to do with the gods) is gonna push him into pissing Kratos off. Which WILL lead to his death.
odin sorta brought this on himself, he finds out that the man who killed all of the greek gods is now living in midgard, not bothering anyone at all, and then he decides to piss off Kratos, giving Kratos a reason to go after him and the other gods
He has every reason. Mimir was shocked when he found out that he was “The Ghost of Sparta!” They clearly knew of Kratos and what he has done. Imagine when they were able to realized who Baldur was up against all along. Most of the game they thought he was the giant they were looking for.
@@bloodangel19 go talk to Zues why don’t you, Odin from the looks of it is a proper up god that isn’t even immortal his only strength is knowledge and while he may get some power ups because of it he still can avoid the future. No matter how hard he tries you can’t stop a god as powerful as kratos.
Kratos literally destroyed the entire Greek Pantheon in one game! He fricking ripped Helios’ head off and used it as a gotdam LANTERN. Of course Odin would be scared of Kratos...
Kratos legit killed two universal beings in god of war three at the same time which were Gaia and Zeus not to mention he murder his own pantheon all in one day when it comes to scaling kratos is at least a multiverse threat and this is a video game in novels they tend to show his power better and more truthful like how he is even stronger then how u play kratos in god of war 4. And he was holding back so that way he won’t show his anger or rage infront of Atreus and wants him to grow and progress in power. If kratos did not hold back he would legitimately destroy a lot of these Norse god.
hes higher than multiversal very easily, jorm and thor damaged the world tree when fighting and every branch of it is above the concept of space and time itself and holds all of norse mythology together, baldur then 2 tapped jorm to knock him out, when baldur tried doing that to kratos he literally just stared at him
Odin is scared His sons: why are you scared of some mortal Kratos: *brutally killed every greek god as well as titans and hells army* Odin: i dont wanna talk about it
This man murdered an entire pantheon that literally determined the laws of physics in that realm. Fear is a understandable response to learning The same man is in your home
I literally just got why Odin sent Baldur to Kratos' house on the day of his wife's funeral in the first place. Odin knew from his prophecies that Kratos and Atreus were going to go to Jotunheim, a realm that in the game he's long sought to grind under his heel but has been locked out of, so he sent Baldur to find how they intended to get there and bring it back to Asgard so Odin could use it for himself.
Mmm, it doesn't explain why Baldur did not know who Atreus and Kratos were. If Odin knew the prophecy, he wouldn't send Baldur, who was prophesized to die under the hands Kratos and Atreus. The highly likely reason here why they were sought after by Odin is because they were following Faye's ashes' tracks, which were revealed only when the barrier of trees Faye made was chopped down by Kratos. Odin only sought to go to Jotunheim, since he was ever power and knowledge hungry as Mimir have described and probably knew that he can learn more about Ragnarok using the giants' murals (which Kratos and Atreus did learn a bit about) But since he did not know of the Giants' prophecies, he was not able to warn Freya, Baldur, or do something about it. In fact, it is so weirdly not part of the plan, that it even shocked Mimir, who said that Fimbulwinter isn't due to come anytime soon. So, this shows Odin is as clueless as us in terms of Kratos' involvement in their pantheon's demise.
@@Vekcrazah This is Odin we're talking about. He trusts no one and his secrets have secrets. Do you really think he'd tell his second-favourite son, let alone his bitter ex-wife and ex-counselor who he tortures for fun, anything more than what they absolutely needed to know?
@@furioussherman7265 still though, he'd do anything for the sake of stopping Ragnarok. If he knew that Baldur is going to die in the process of him knowing how to go to Jotunheim, then it defeats his purpose of wanting to go to Jotunheim in the first place. He wants every bits of knowledge to stop Ragnarok. If he knew the prophecy, he's smart enough to avoid aiding to the hastening of Ragnarok. So, It makes sense for Odin to not know about the prophecy of Baldur's defeat at all
@@Vekcrazah Again, this is right up Odin's alley. He's always trying to think four steps ahead of allies and enemies alike, and sacrificing people to achieve his goals is practically a hobby for him. All Odin really cares about is that Baldur gets for him the knowledge on how to get to Jotunheim. Whether Baldur lives or dies in the process is irrelevant so long as Odin gets what he wants. Of course he didn't, so there's that, but all that means is that Odin's going to come up with a new approach involving Thor like what Atreus' dream foretold, a move that reeks of another thing right up Odin's alley: Desperation when things don't go according to plan. I think Odin might have foreseen Baldur's death, but he definitely didn't expect it to happen without first acquiring the knowledge he wanted so that he could conquer Jotunheim and add its resources and magicks to his war chest in preparation for Ragnarok. He didn't plan to end up with a total loss, so he'll send in his heaviest hitter in hopes of quickly fixing the problem before it's too late.
@@furioussherman7265 here's the thing. He always thinks four steps ahead of everyone, because he is fighting against Ragnarok. Mimir himself says that. All of his decisions are all revolving around either world domination, or the conquering of Ragnarok. And the reason why he wanted to go to Jotunheim in the first place, is to gather knowledge about Ragnarok. With that out of the way, I absolutely agree that to Odin, Baldur's life is nothing. And though he does not know the prophecy the giants pained on their mural, it is a well known prophecy that upon Baldur's death, Fimbulwinter, and by extension Ragnarok, arrives. He may not care for the life of Baldur, but he cares for what comes after. And if he truly knew about the prophecy the giants made on Baldur's defeat, he wouldn't do that even if it gained him access to Jotunheim. Because the entire reason he is going to Jotunheim in the first place is because he is ever planning to stop Ragnarok. So in this case, Baldur's, and everyone else's life who is linked with the Ragnarok's chain of events, is equally as important to him now.
@@kakarottoyt6405 the fact that you responded to this person comment means you understand what this person said so..... I think as long as the reader understand... grammar isn't really that important lol especially for foreigners
In real norse mythology Loki is killed by a god but kratos isn't in the mythology I believe he will sacrifice himself to save Atreus and Atreus will finally gain the Spartan rage and unlock the power of his Grandfather's Greek Lightning. He will also spawn the World Serpent. But I think Kratos will return he is a cursed Immortal.
Thor: Father, a man called Ghost of Sparta has entered the realm. Do you want me to take of him? Odin: Yeah, son, you do that, I'll go and get some milk
In the Novelization for the game, I believe it's stated that Odin actually saw a glimpse of the Jötunheimr mural, and since Mimir knows about Kratos, that means that Odin and the rest of the Norse Gods must've heard about the Marked Warrior who singlehandedly nuked the Greek Pantheon, so yes, Odin absolutely has every right to be afraid of Kratos.
@@mfirdanhb wtf he never really killed any God in fact he don't even exist in mythology🤣, are you talking about the game that the writer wrote himself?
You know the giants predicted Atreus's story, right? And it showed Kratos dead behind a curtain so we know Kratos will die in the future so I don't think he'll beat Odin, probably Thor but not Odin, Atreus will most likely kill Odin which will end the series

@LZend Even if Mimir has fake horns, he's not really that pale, yeah I know the game hasn't been confirmed yet but it's obvious that were getting another god of war game, and I personally don't think Kratos will die in god of war 5 but could die in the 6th game to end the god of war series, because what's next after the norse gods are dead

I think Thor is going to kill Atreus and Kratos will unleash his full power and demolish Thor who will run away. Atreus is a god so he will go to Valhalla and be forced, possibly by magic, to fight for Odin. Odin will then make Atreus fight Kratos and Kratos won’t be able to bring himself to fight his son. Atreus will then beat Kratos to an inch of his life and take him to Asgard. Kratos will be imprisoned where he meets Tyr and they manage to escape. The game will be trying to get his son back to who he was
