That was absolutely free. Kash needed to go second AND brick massively to let DLink do it's thing. In a battle of decks that are functionally all about not letting your opponent do anything, Kash just drew the better floodgates.
bro not only was this like the most broken match up for dlink, but the luck was also dogshit. No handtraps, no outs, none of the best starters. bro this was sad.
Ariseheart is annoying as hell but I'd almost argue the damage diablosis does is beyond unfair for the deck. It just makes it so if you don't win or get it off the field when your turn gets going you're not GOING to win.
I mean, kash really died to the side options of the meta it was in, if you don't have books or lava golem in, you're really gonna struggle trying to interact with them through generic cards
Kashtira absolutely inting into nib every game for no reason when dlink didnt even play outs to ariseheart but never getting punished is the most kashtira thing possible
I didn't even consider that Dragon Link was so zone dependent so Kash can just cut them off elpy access by using an EMZ and blocking specifically the Elpy zone...
D-link is an insane deck then and would be really good now, but that version was terrible vs kash (since they can't prepare sidedecks and also are a graveyard deck)
If Tear doesn't win it, it will be Kash. They are better than everyone else except for maybe SE and they have a good match-up against the best deck (which is Tear)
You did not just say that. Runick literally banishes so much while also drawing 3 every single turn. What are you on about lmao Kashtira has to literally set up a board in order to start banishing well.
@@HYDEinallcaps when somebody cant understand the difference of kashtira and runick wincons. Runick wincon is making opponents deck out. Kashtira is removing as much board placements as possible from opponent.
@@Sauron3rd it's the match 16, of course there is 0 chance in the main event, but think about this for a second, people requested dragon link to get destroyed like this so... Probably you don't really want to see your favorite deck facing Kash or Ishtear, just saying. Maybe next year man ✌🏻
@@sejotejerina3732 Branded actually had a fair shot, especially lists from that era. but id prefer modern lists in a slightly less disgusting levels of power next year
Please try to learn the block five zones combo in turn one for kash. thats why the deck was so broken in the first place. that and the ability to go simply ariseheart in def and pass playing around nibiru
As someone who has mostly played Master Duel as their exposure to Yugioh I totally forgot Diablosis was a card (since it was banned before Kashtira was released) and man that card is just absolutely disgusting.
Game 2 i think dlink should 10000% go for seals pass into the shifter. the tracer would definitely not survive kash's turn so all you're really doing is sacrificing a nocto or recharger in hand (and 1/3 strikers in extra) for seals which is so worth it
You should learn the proper turn 1 5-zone lock combo. You could've done it games 1 and 4, much safer than waiting for the NS. I mean, there's no point in using Couch's YCS winning list if you're not doing the full lock.
Kash was a deck that was super oppresive but immediately died to sidedeck hate. Due to how CBC works itll be very hard for most decks to beat Kash because their sides are not prepared for it.
For as long as Kash had ariseheart it was always the best performing deck in terms of top placements and tournaments won, even with all the side deck hate. Every other deck here besides Tear is cooked lmao
Dragon Link never had a chance in that one. You have to open non engine sweepers to break their board, and they basically had zero handtraps and zero sweepers the entire match. Combined with Kash going first in game one and opening the turn ender Shifter at least once...Beatdown. Chaos vs Mind Master is really interesting. Always gotta give the edge to Chaos, but Mind Master can be very explosive. After it lost to Tenguplant, I did lose some faith in it, thought it would be a sleeper contender.
3-0 Kashtira unironically, or 3-1 Kashtira if dlink wins the dieroll I'd say. Dlink has only 3 maindeck outs to ariseheart and only gamma and 1 talents in the side, whereas kash has a decent side deck for dlink (albeit with a mediocre maindeck).
kash really is the type of deck that either goes first and is uninterrupted or it is one of the worst decks you have ever seen. it is in all ways shapes and forms a rogue deck but has 1 so completely over designed boss monster that that on its own got it to tier 1 status
Id rather kash in the format that an ftk deck (an actual ftk deck). I can at least play on my turn (sometimes, if i prepare accordingly), and even then just 1 banlist later and you def can prepare for kash
@@MistBestWaifu the problem is not that it is no longer a thing, the problem is that it ever was a thing. these kind of mistakes are the problem with modern yugioh that players have to suffer playing against decks that are just toxic. now you can replace it with snake eyes or labyrinth, you got the same kind of deck that make people scoop immediately because they are fed up with these
@@valtwoveev9162 Old YuGiOh had the exact same problem. Magical Scientist FTK, Yata locking, Dark rulers and Spellbooks. The game has literally always been like this, you either just played playground yugioh or have never played old yugioh. Snake Eyes is not even a toxic deck. It doesn't do anything unfair like literally not letting you play, as the other mentioned decks do. It just does destruction and recursion better than other decks.
