My life is as normal as it gets but their songs always makes it feel more adventurous, like I've won a battle I've been fighting ever since I've breathed my first breath.

This is the kind of song you stay up till three A.M thinking about.

This song got me through some tough times. My best friend (basically my brother) had just died and asked for only me to be present at his cremation. He wrote me a letter that quoted this song and asked me to scatter his ashes in the place we met, a beach, so he would always be around me no matter where he was. So I cry when I hear this song

okay, just saying but this is truly art. there voices are art, this video is art, the story they tell with there words is art, the instrumental music itself is art. just everything.

This is the best mix ever. Especially Start the Fire!! Just read everything they sing. So interesting. I’m 83 and have loved music since my Grandpa put me at 8 and my brother at 4 on a chair beside his very big phonograph. He would lift the top, put a big record on and wind the handle and hearing the music flow out was wonderful to us. Figure no tv, cells, video games plus many other devices we take for granted today. My brother and still enjoy music. Some is playing as I type this. Such wonderful memories. He also taught me to read and how to chop wood. I still do. I started remembering things when I was 3. I consider myself quite lucky. All of you hang on to your memories!! Especially tell them to family. Mine write them down. Enjoy your family n friends. Listen to what they tell you. Memories are great!

I believe this song has something to do with the Viking burial tradition of putting the body into a boat and lightning it on fire and sailing out to sea. Some of my evidence for this is "Said goodbye to you my friend, as the fire spread, all the left are your bones, that will soon sink like stones" and also the frickin video.

I do not listen to today's music, but have recently found this band and can't stop listening. Every song I've heard thus far, I've just wanted to repeat. A little poppy but refreshing to hear meaningful lyrics with some pretty nice chord progressions by people writing and playing their own stuff.

Love how in the beginning the lightning travels with the bass rolls. These guys have an amazing grasp of imagery in their lyrics.

this reminds me of the viking funerals where the loved ones would shoot flaming arrows at the ship where the dead body was and watch it flame and sink, the dead spirit supposedly leaving the body and going to Valhalla.

this is the only band that uses the word "snow" in multiple songs and makes it seem warm instead of bitter and cold every time.

My little brother showed me this song and said he liked it. I belivie now he was and does use it as an outlet for losing our dad to cancer. He was our stepdad but the only dad we knew. Prayers for all.

The boat carried a dead body right? When a person of a Viking family died, they put the body on a boat, set it adrift, then set fire to it...

I love this band. They always touch my heart and soul. I like the artists that can tell stories. I don't like it when artists write typically meaningless songs about love, breakups, and riches. I feel like there's so much more in this world than just those things, and I love the creative voices and sounds of artists like Of monsters and men and others. When a song can reach deep in your heart, when a song tells a story, when a song is like nothing you've heard, when a song can spark your imagination.. then that song and that/those artist('s) have done something wonderful. And that's what this band brings every time along with many other, still undiscovered Artists and songs that are just as special. They exist but can be hard to find. At least we found these guys, and however they have stumbled into our lives.

One of my most favorites on My Head is an Animal...Ragnar's vocals and the lyrics in this song (especially in the second verse) gives me so much chills every time. The thing I love about OMAM is that their songs do tell stories that really make you imagine them while you listen.

I was introduced to this amazing band when tao tap revenge had little talks as one of th re sings you could play. I immediately googled them & found they were brand new in the U.S. & I bought the first album the first it was for sale online & ive gotten all of their music since... I have loved them from the moment I heard them. they are truly one of the best.

No one is going to read this comment but I’ve been listening to this song for the past 3 days after hearing the news of Technoblade’s death. I don’t know why I’m taking it so hard, I have seen a lot of posts talking about the news and many saying it’s ok to be sad about this even if it feels parasocial, but I just don’t know how to properly mourn for someone I really appreciate but not personally know. I still can’t believe that such an amazing content creator is gone, and although knowing that there’s an entire community of millions also grieving helps a little, this is still difficult to process. I want to be able to smile in memory of all the joy he brought to his viewers like many other fans do but just the fact that he’s dead doesn’t feel right, or even real to me, so all I can do is just listening to this song which I always loved, hoping it would make the situation easier to comprehend.
