We have a floor! After tons of structural screws and hangers, we were ready to install the blocking and then move on to our subfloor. We are ready to frame our cabin!

Greetings from Talkeetna. My husband stands and stares off into the woods, too❤. He's out in the backhoe pulling stumps and moving big rocks right now. We are a Milwaukee & Stihl household. If one of those companies builds it, there is a good chance we have one. The house is going to be rock solid.

I agree that you buy the better tools if you are going to use them most of the time. Normally buy 1 time use tools (cheap) to get a unique job done, those tools normally take up space in my tool cabinet for a long time before I use them again or get rid of them. Good job overall on the base. Excellent video!!

Pple do get killed unexpectedly on their homesteads by bears. It happens. Not to many yrs ago a guy came home and his wife and kid were killed outside by a bear. It happens fast.

Why don't you insulate the floor? I would even attach foil against rising damp that is open to diffusion under the glass wool when the floor is insulated. Energy efficiency is thereby increased so that there is less to cool or keep the building warm.

This platform is about 750sq feet. It may look deceiving but it's not all that big. Our old home had a bedroom this size alone, I feel this Is fairly small.

If that's not the milwaukee Surge Hydraulic driver, you should give that driver a try. Quieter and more powerful than the regular fuel impact driver.

Looks like all is well there, except for the "bobo" on the finger. The pup is enjoying himself also. Nice to see the floor on now. Perhaps a nice dance floor for later events? Good info on the heat coming up through the pipe. The heat trace is still a good idea just incase. All the best and stay safe. PS: give the pup a pat on the head for me.
