New Year and new projects. We're kicking off a new build during a freezing cold snap up at the property. The boys and I brave the elements to start the planning process for a Cordwood Sauna and Summer Bath House.

I remembered we're in the depths of winter and you're in the middle of the frozen tundra after I clicked. I watched anyway. The cordwood build should be fun and it will look awesome. If this keeps up you'll need to build a 'soddy' and a log cabin to have a complete the set of building style/technics. Another snowstorm here in NS tomorrow. .: sigh :.

Sorry for the reminder, Rob. I would LOVE to do a soddy AND a Doukhobour style dove tail structure common to this settlement area. So don't tempt me I have enough on my plate for now Haha. Good luck with the shoveling. Stay safe in that snow storm.

What you need is a good 4 wheeler with tracks not one of those Chinese ones but a can-am or Polaris... They can't travel as fast as a skadoo but they can work in deep snow with no problem... Places where you would be stuck with a skadoo you will be moving along with your 4 wheeler on tracks and their cheaper than a skadoo... Some mata tracks will cost 3,000 bucks but are worth the money when you live in heavy snow areas...

We've got a Yamaha Kodiak 450, but I think we'd need something with a bigger mill in it to push those tracks. It would be amazing to have back in the ponds though. I've been keeping my eye out for a 6x6 Argo with tracks. Those things are unstoppable and amphibious to boot. Thanks for watching.

Don't waste your money those argos are pure garbage, so are those 6x6... I know people who have them and they are always complaining about how they suck... A good 1000rr Polaris, Honda, or can-am on a pair of "Mattracks" You'll be envied by everyone who stuck as you cruise by... The way the Mattracks work and how they are done is totally different from any other ones in the market... Go to Google and look them up and then you'll become a Mattracks owner like me... Worth every dollar look them up and let me know what you think...

Thanks Brian. We're pretty excited about the prospect of a warm sauna especially since the temps are in the -30 to -40 to -50 range currently. Gah. No meat for me this year. Our rifle season is very short and I never got the opportunity I needed to get it done. Hopefully next year I'll get that Big Buck I've been chasing to make up for it.

What the hell is a Celsius? Don’t know what what temperature that is. Never learned that shit. I know what f is in American way. -32 c means nothing to me . Wish u people do both f and c...........

Celsius (also known as centigrade) is the metric measurement of temperature used by the entire world aside from the United States. At exactly 1 minute I did the conversion for the current temp for you, John. To answer your questions, -32 C is about -25 F and -40 C is -40 F. I'm afraid the ol' US of A is one of the last countries to still use Fahrenheit so the onus might be on you folks to do the conversions. That said, I'll try and keep our southern neighbours in mind in the future. Thanks for watching!
