Well, the best part is seeing the new wheelbarrow !! Carrying feed is tough on the back. The loads are usually uneven. This is better for sure.

Mathias, you two never talk about the lack of light in the winter nor the lack of darkness in the summertime.? WHy? It seems a very important feature of living in the North of Sweden ...and Swedish life in general.

I think that the English word that you were searching for in the beginning is "overlap" the boards, placing one slightly over the other. I absolutely love your vlogs and am currently binge-watching them! (I've made it to 50 on 3 April 2023.) Thank you so much! Your English is better than my husband's and he has lived here in the US all of his life!

"Interlocking" is one of the most accurate words in English, to describe when putting any two things together where one part of the thing adjoins with the next thing, to fit as closely as possible. For example, "dovetail" joints are fancy & precise interlocking joints/seams, parquet pieces are simpler shapes,but may also be called "interlocking ", I believe. Same for the way a jigsaw joins together. & thank you for another beautiful & informative video !

In the southeastern USA we call those pieces you are nailing to the shed, we call them "slabs" but they likely call them other things in other parts of America. When you mount those slabs or any siding for that matter so that they overlap the ones below we simply call it "lapped" and we even call wooden siding made to do that very thing "lapped siding."

i grew up next to the only ice skating stadium in athens,greece and i was there every other weekend when i was little, ice skating is so peaceful , it seems like a luxury but its so good for the soul

Mathias seems to be ambidextrous. I too am ambide xtrous. It comes in handy , does it not? I think the word you were looking for is shingled. Mathias NEVER give up on videography , your skills or beyond awesome! That little red dog looks almost exactly like my first dog when into my own house...AWESOME dog; he was a chihuahua Pomeranian x...independent and smart as a whip...scary smart and super independent. Only dog I’ve ever known to be aware of traffic and look both ways before crossing the street...He WAS seriously cute, sweet and super smart.

Shiplap, is what you call the overlapping of each piece of wood. I am so glad to see you use the rough ends to create the sheep shelter. Your beanie hat is cute and I bet it is super warm......

Ice skating looked so fun and the little pup was enjoying too😃👏🏼👏🏼. You both did a great job in getting the feeder moved over very rough terrain, I know that was not a very desirable task, but you both kept with it and got it done😃👍🏽

Those pretty mittens look warm - I remember seeing them being made during your appearance on last winter's TV show, clever knitting pattern - the white stitches hide long loops on the inside creating an thermal-insulating effect, neat.

In English we call the wood you are using "Slab WOOD", good for out buildings on a Farm such as your's.

In Canada a winter hat is called a tuque! It’s a french-canadian word! :)

just a thought nailing the top, when the planks get weak they willsplit and fall, better to nail lower so the planks can rest on the nails

It's wonderful seeing the squirrels again. I'm English and we have mainly grey squirrels there (no where near as cute as the red ones!) and now I live in Australia so , no squirrels, but instead we have funny possums who get up to mischief. At the moment they are enjoying eating the ripe loquat fruit on the tree in front of our tiny house, they're very mischievous, just like the squirrels =) Rebekah

Nice building . You could use the dirty wool in the holes. I got hungry when you said fika 😀 . Also the dirty wool you can make into big felt mats that you can stitch together an use as tarps , 1 cm thick good to keep wind out 😊. Greatings from Ugle homestead

I live near Amish country. They use smithed out logs to roll sheds on! I don’t know how often you need to move such heavy structures. But keep a few logs handy…line them up. Hoist the structure on it and push! Might be easier on you.

Mössa=watchcap in English. It's the sort of cap that dockworkers & lumberjacks are often shown working. But, it's an old word & may not be used any more. They're also available in acrylic & cheap in the USA.

In the southeast part of the US, the state of Tennessee, we call those knitted caps “toboggans”. In other parts of the US a toboggan is a sled 🛷

Looks like our countries share the same passion. Hockey!!! Winter has arrived here in 🇨🇦 also. We had 16cm of snow last night and it’s -24c now with the sun rising at 6:58am and setting at 5:36pm. I really enjoyed how the sheep jumped right into their new/bigger shelter. Thank you for the long, relaxing video. The ice skating was hilarious with your little dog running to play with you. After a hard day working outside do you prepare a simple meal? I love soups that simmer all day in a big pot. I could eat soup and homemade bread/crackers everyday. Thank you kindly for this beautiful video. ❤

I'll tell you a little secret about using them cut off boards.... when nailing them up like that ( its just like building a log house ) lets say first board next >>>> little end on top of big end! next big end on top of little end ) and so on and so on Yje didn't do that and the boards are all running down hill at front...
