Not far from the edge of the mountain, lies Talasbuan fäbod. For about 80 years it stood empty before we decided to give new life to the old place. The area has been a place filled with fäbodar and throughout the years the cowbells have chimed through these forests.
The 1st of February 2017 we published our first vlog, and have been making them since. We can combine Mathias love for filming and photo with all our projects and our wish to show people what we are doing and thinking.
Family, community, good meats and cheese, and most importantly God. Who also makes love and patience and grace and all the fruits of the spirit possible. ❤ God makes it all possible. He gives us everything we need. And is the ultimate creator of it all. ❤ lovely video as always.
Also hope you get to see your family many times of year. Just once or twice doesn’t feel like enough. I know this feeling all too well. ❤ praying God will provide the funds for it all to be possible. ❤
I know this is a late reply but in Australia we frequently have outdoor barbecues especially in summer. Over a fire of wood or even gas flames we place a metal rack above the flames and cook the meat on that. If a solid steel plate is placed over the fire it is called barbecuing but it’s actually frying the meat. To grill meat we place a tray of meat under a radiant heat source, either gas or electric. Meat is also fried in a frying pan (skillet) on a stove inside the house or outside in the garden. Hope that helps. 🇦🇺🦘🦘🇦🇺
I marvel at all you have accomplished and the skills you have both honed…ambidextrous hammering. Very impressive! I was so excited to see that beautiful window installed and how you have developed framing that will accommodate shifting of the structure. Always lovely to see sweet Ivar and how you include him in your tasks so he is learning organically.
I love and appreciate your aesthetics with design in the windows and all your creations. The vent covers (?) are so pretty. Ivar is growing into such a little man, emulating his parents, watching, learning, absorbing, helping. He will be a wonderful human when he is grown.
Haven't you wolves and bears or lynx and birds of prey around? Would not be possible here where I live in northern Germany to keep chicken close to forest or sheep unattended without dogs in the field.
Tova, the Sheep Whisperer is the best thing I've seen in a long time. ❤ I think the berry dush and flower idea on the slope is a great idea. Will stop erosion. Just place some well broken down compost and manure down when you plant them.
Too right those are beautiful windows. You must be so glad to have them finally. The root cellar looks really nice as well. You are turning into a craftsman Mathias. :) You've come a long way baby!
One window installed after your loyal people helped buy them and you rake rocks and your little boy is growing up quickly I would think your home would be a priority

I it is so interesting that our windows have the muttons on the inside and the storm windows (plain glass without wooden slats) on the outside to keep the mutton from rotting in the weather. Your window looks so good! The house is really starting to come together! ❤️ You have so many projects near completion! Hard workers.

Projects are getting finished one at a time, since I started watching . The cellar, windows, Tova's garden, the unique chicken wagon. I know you might think it doesn't appear to be much, but to us watching...it's a celebration each time. The things you have learned and achieved, you should be proud. My favorite thing, is watching the animals move around and the land become richer.❤
