Good day everyone!
In this video I am finishing the roof, installing suport beams underneath roof rafters for extra suport. Securing rafters to new wooden ring with extra metal corners. After all this goes anti insect netting and wooden fascia which are painted both sides so less warping and more protection.

The insect netting was a good idea for future invasions. Could just see bees building inside the roof. Again such craftsmanship. Enjoyed another video.

@@homesteadingdays Keeps wasp nests and flies seeking cover for winter out, I'm looking to close all gaps under my roofing off now. However I take metal mesh as rodents will not eat trough, which can happen with plastic fly mesh, I had a weasel (marten) nesting in my roof in the past, and they destroy anything that's not made of metal.

Thank you! All the older roof constructors always says that you must use bolt because thats one of the main construction holding parts

Your construction of the rafters is much stronger than what is required here in Canada. Are you following a local building code or have you chosen to build your house as strong as possible so that it is still standing for your grandchildren? Thank you for sharing the project.

I try to build it as strong as possible. I know its extra work and money plus material, but why not make it as good as possible thats my opinion, and as You said so that there would be somethings left after me.. Thank you for whatching! 😁
