Dima took me to a place, about an hours ride from Almaty, where there are old and mysterious rock carvings. The Desert Sled was great in the dirt and it was good to get more comfortable riding off-road. The nature surrounding Almaty is outstanding.

So sketchy in the sand on that bike 😂 I forget how much harder big bikes without 21inch tires are to ride off road

This is awsome! Nice riding in the dirt. Looks like the desert sled is holding up pretty good. How are you holding up so far? Nice video, keep them coming ! And ride safe!

micele13 thanks! It was my first extended dirt ride and had some pretty tricky sections, I was really impressed with the sled considering it’s not a fully enduro bike. I’m all good! Just waiting in Almaty for parts before I leave for Azerbaijan and then Iran.

It’s a great bike - the best I’ve owned. It rides great on and off road from what I have experienced. If you have any questions feel free to ask away or I can give you my email if it’s easier!

35,000 Miles awesome. Either way works. Looks like a ton of fun. Two questions that come to mind is how are you dealing with the relative short valve/belt changes and has fuel been an issue? I see you carry 2 rotopax Best of luck on your journey. Stay safe and keep these updates coming!

46repsol69 it’s a really fun bike! I had belts changed at 10000km as I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a service for a while. It wasn’t that expensive but it’s a bit annoying at low mileage. I’m having the valve gaps checked now hopefully they won’t need replacing but maybe an adjustment. Again an annoying cost but worth it! Fuel won’t be an issue most of the time but I’m riding in places with very few stations and many of them don’t sell 95. With the two rotopax I have a range of about 450km with all the luggage. Not great but for the most part it’s enough out here. For me fuel range is the biggest issue but it won’t affect most people using this bike. It would be great if they made specific adapter plates for this bike as I had to drill into the pillion footpeg guard and tail rack to mount mine. Or they could just make a bigger tank? May be something you can get custom made if you’re really keen!
