There are many ways to recover a rolled vehicle. While this method worked, I would've added a secondary line to the front of the vehicle, tethering it to a fixed point in order to mitigate rollback.
No one was injured and I trusted my senior trail leader's experience. This was the first time I've witnessed a roll-over recovery and find this video to be a helpful analysis of how this particular situation was handled.
Make sure to practice recoveries frequently before using a winch or other active rigging equipment.
