The people buying remo tickets LOVE greatest hits. We are here for Erik and his love of music and expression but for him to talk about his fans that are buying tickets like that is a little harsh. I will always watch this bands progression but it surely makes it harder to have the frontman talk about his main fans like we are wrong for liking that time of their music
I think that everyone is taking away the wrong message from what he was saying. Honestly the way you guys are reacting says so much. I think that they wanted to change and grow and they knew that if they did that, they would weed out the people that saw them as a fad within the scene, that wouldn’t want them to grow and change as songwriters and artists. And that’s exactly what they did considering all the people that shit on them for changing their sound. He’s not saying that they don’t like their fans that like GH. I’m sure they love their fans for getting them where they are. But they definitely don’t want people to dictate how they should sound and what they should do to fit in with the “aesthetic” that people want from them.
Aidan Hoppens Ngl I see where he’s coming from, the bands or more so the fans in the “scene” they were previously in can be so cliquey, they gatekeep and follow certain guidelines and trends that makes it seem so pretentious
