Office Chair Mechanism Won't Tilt! Troubleshooting Tips. 

You saved me from buying a new chair, which I thought it had a broken tilt mechanism. I did NOT know the lever slides in and out!

Had my chair for about 7 years as well and I didn’t even know you had to pull it out to unlock the tilt mechanism I have been trying to figure out how to rock my cheer bag and every once in a while it will become unlocked so I can rock back, but ever since I have found this video I know how to work my chair now LMAO!!

Brilliant thank you so much - i was about to dismantle the tilt adjuster thinking it was broken (wouldn't rotate loose). It was the lock mechanism that you pointed out - I had been spinning on the chair the night before and my legs must have knocked the lever. I had no idea it was there :)

MAN! My Serta chair would go from sometimes tilting to randomly not (I guess the lock would get kicked in and sometimes it would come out and that’s when it would tilt.) I went months without being able to tilt back and I just now decided to look up troubleshooting tips. Literally 50 seconds into the video and I solved a problem I’ve had for months lol thank you!!!
