Very funny! I rendered them all together, colour corrected it, and normalized the sound in all clips. The original versions are really bad, so not much more I can do to make it better. I did my best folks.
I remember watching this at training on my first day at Microsoft 20 years ago. I was taking notes thinking they were serious. Everything I learnt from David, I have implemented in my profession. I even learnt a few things from Barry from EastEnders.... Lol
If anyone’s interested … Renton from this (Comedian Dan Renton Skinner) also plays the character Angelos Epithemiou and was in the office Xmas special asking Brent for an autograph in the greengrocers where he thought Brent was the fat one from airport.
He didn’t compile anything... this is a welcome video played to Microsoft employees on their induction day. This was probably followed by a health n safety video with David beckham saying “lift with your knees...”!
sadly he's totally incapable of doing the character nowadays. That dog awful Life on the Road film being evidence, doesn't do any of the mannerisms, the timing is off and he does that weird nervous "uhhhhhhH" after every line.
Blame the algorithm. They’ve been on RU-vid for years, although perhaps they’ve been removed from time to time, but I’ve never had a problem locating it. It’s amazing eh!😂
Some of the best work they’ve done. So glad it’s all in one video now rather than the separate ones on here since YT started! Some of my favourite bits are the whole ‘certainly torn yourself to shreds there’,the android bit, The trees, pregnant employees and next to the Max Wall thing the best is the song and Smerch interrupting , by far the best is him exclaiming ‘He’s just scrumping??’ This is magic. While the movie wasn’t as good as it could have been, I did enjoy the return of Brent and the guitar videos. I still think there’s one more story with Brent left and that can get some of the cast back together...sort of like Picard Season 3( I liked TNG as a kid and haven’t bothered with much else but seriously, anyone who was fond of the show...forget season 1&2 , watch season 3... but I will warn you that unfortunately Patrick doesn’t use his powers to strip every woman that walks into frame naked...they all keep their knickers on!
They had endless cash so why not have your own David Brent episodes? It's a bit like getting Beyonce to sing at a wedding. I'm always amazed that even the biggest names will do it for the right sack of money.
The question that nobody is asking, why did Microsoft agree to this? Its obviously a spoof but apart from being absolutely hilarious what did they get out of it
This would have been for one of their annual meetings, probably shown to a large audience and everyone thought it was very funny. Probably paid a lot for it. Sat in on many like this in big corporate, many hired celebs ect
