Lumen Field in Seattle should be higher on the list. Probably the best home field advantage in the NFL not to mention it’s a beautiful building. Most rankings I’ve seen online have this as a top 5 stadium. My only issue with it…should have had a roof. Going from a closed stadium (Kingdome) to an open stadium in a city that gets a lot of rain and unpredictable weather is it’s only downfall. Not a bad seat in that building
I went to a couple of Seattle games. I'm a Rams fan. The stadium looks like it was definitely built on a budget, no big thrills No big jumbo tron, just NOTHING, but that is what makes this stadium the best in all of football in my opinion, my God before kick off Seattle is up 6 to 9 points that's how much home field advantage they have, the loudest d place I have ever experience BY FAR, hey San Fran for God's sake this is how you build a freaking stadium, that Levi crap is what it is CRAP, Seattle, best atmosphere and by far the best fans, I wish we had some of that MOJO,
The stadium CREATED to amplify crowd noise should be top 5. You have to be there during a close divisional game to appreciate the noise being loud enough your sternum hurts and seizmographs are triggered
@@victoriabrown268 as a Ram fan that ben into that hellhole, I confirm,, by far by far, them cheating bastards, the best home advantage in AL OF SPORTS, My ears are still ringing, it's ben 3 years
@@whenthemaskfalls8591spot on. Obviously, part of the appeal is it’s history. The way it sits in the middle of a neighborhood speaks volumes to its uniqueness of the team being community owned and any true football fan, especially us packer fans know that football is best to be played outdoors. The whole venue feels like straight out of a movie. No other NFL stadium Has that vibe. Even opposing teams attest to this.
@@mg19cal The Superdome has hosted 7 and that stadium is a dump. The location, weather, and hotel rooms determine the location of each Super Bowl. Why do you think they never go up north except Jersey (2014), Indianapolis (2012), Minneapolis (92) and Detroit (06 & 82)?
Bay Area resident. Everything about Levi’s is an abomination. The location, the lack of shade, the boring appearance. It’s a glorified high school stadium. Or a temporary or unfinished stadium. It’s the stadium equipment of the portable shipping container type buildings you see at schools and construction sites. The fact that an app is the only redeeming feature of it says all you need to know.
@@rickowskiiI remember the first time I went there for the 2019 National Championship game and was severely underwhelmed. It looked like a stadium from the 90’s
As a LA resident, The Sofi stadium is crazy, You can’t get a bad seat . Upper deck you get a Birds Eye view along with the oculus video board. VIP seats were just the best seats I ever had . I don’t know, the stadium is just so new and modern . Maybe I’m being bias, go Rams!
As someone who traveled from the south as a packers fan to see Lambeau for the first time last year, it was incredible. The fans were awesome, titletown (basically a park with an ice skating rink, tubing slide and a football field) was amazing, and although I didn’t take part the tailgating looked great. The icing on the cake was that we beat the Vikings 41-17
You need to do some more research. The reason why Metlife Stadium has those color seats is to give a neutral feel to the Stadium since the Giants and Jets both play there. The Jets use to share Giants Stadium with the Giants. The seating and the feel were Giants which was a big Jets complaint. When the two teams agreed to build Metlife, the seats were purposely neutral color so it would not be Jets or Giants colors. Other parts of the stadium are modified on game day to give that home team feel, but obviously you can't change seat colors so that is why it is the way it is.
Correct sir I live 15 miles from metlife. My complaint is that with Two owners paying for a stadium it should have a retractable roof so they could bid for the super bowl final 4 etc etc! Dumb move
I can understand the interior being neutral because it hosts two home teams. What I don't understand is the exterior, from the picture it looks like a big gray block. It wouldn't need team logo's, but something so it doesn't look like some kind a huge factory building would have been nice.
first of all the bengals stadium is very underrated when it gets packed it’s perfectly fine, and for the last time, THE SEATS ARE GREEN TO REPRESENT THE JUNGLE, NOT JUST SOME RANDOM COLOR!! Making them orange and black would be too much because the field is already orange and black.
As a Packers fan there is nothing better than standing in the snow drinking beer with your friends and cheering on your team. There is just something magical about it. Go see your team play at Lambeau one year. I guarantee you will have the best time. Some of the nicest people in Green Bay. A true one of a kind.
Bruh. Like every other fan that goes to a stadium doesn't drink a beer with friends, cheering on a team. This video is biased. Lambou Field is like number 7. Not 1
Pretty solid list overall. I am one that was definitely surprised that NRG was that low. First retractable roof, second biggest screen, lots of diffused natural light during the day. BTW, the roof rolls all the way back past the end zones, I’m not sure why you think it is small. It’s actually four times the size of the opening at AT&T in Dallas. I would say that the outside hasn’t aged too well and might need some updating soon.
@@courtney5796 His channel shows he is in fact in the Houston area. Homer's gonna homer (no judgment) Anyway, this list is just some guy's opinion. He just happens to put his opinion on RU-vid, and we're all free to disagree - that's what makes it fun!
Bro just a hater😂.. literally hate everything about our field.. But has AT&T high asf.. its literally just a screen, nothing really appealing but the screen..
I'm hoping that Raymond James Stadium gets a canopy like Miami. September to early October games in there are brutal. The addition of some sideline/endzone bunker suites would be neat as well. There's also a lot of land around the stadium that could be developed into an entertainment district. We'll see what happens when the lease expires in 2028.
I live in Orlando now and they actually just asked for 180 million dollars from the county to add a roof to camping world stadium and redo the upper deck. I was shocked that they want to go that far with no tenant
@@jarvisfrederick4315 That's wild. Idk what their business plan is there. Camping World has always been the stadium nobody wanted to play at. A canopy won't change that.
I agree too, I was at the buccaneers vs packers game last year in September and it was so hot outside, they need to block out the sun a little bit and get a canopy
If you take the "i" out of the "Stadium" ➡️ "Stadum" and the "i" is you, you'll become smarter, want to know how? Because Stadum sounds like ➡️ Stay dumb
As a Texans fan who was a season ticket holder and went to countless games, the retractable roof at NRG stadium can make it feel like 2 different stadiums when it is open or closed.
The field in the superbowl wasn’t State Farm stadiums usual field. State Farm stadium uses a natural grass field while the NFL made them use a special turf they designed for the Super Bowl.
Im a Saints fan and i think you ranked our Superdome fair. The general consensus from us fans is that we NEVER want to get rid of it. I think they did a poll a few yrs back and it came in at 80% to keep it. Its just a Legendary place and its absolutely perfect!
I honestly like it. It gives a futuristic feel. I much prefer enclosed stadiums so watching games is always comfortable, temperature wise. I don’t know why, but I kind of like the lack of natural light. It reminds me of a larger version of my local college team’s basketball stadium; Charles Koch Arena.
you've clearly never been to centurylink or levi. Levi is a billion dollar mess. The east seats are burners, the traffic there is a mess, outside of the tech, the stadium sucks. Seattles stadium holds up today, good transportation, great atmosphere
While I do think the Soldier Field renovation was botched, I think its severely underrated. Why would they go with such a modern aesthetic and not something more classical to fit with the columns they kept from the original stadium I'll never know, but having lived just a 15 minute walk from the stadium and having gone to events there- I would argue its one of the more elite outdoor stadiums in the NFL. Sitting along the lake in Chicago, its an incredible atmosphere and vibe surrounding the stadium, the way it sits along the Chicago skyline is magnificent, and the interior seating bowl is incredibly unique in the way it is designed. Also love the seating color. The way the old is mixed with the new is such a unique aesthetic for the NFL. Also, Metlife & Levi are way too damn high. Easily bottom 5 stadiums. Metlife given it serves the New York City area and is already outdated, Levi for much of the same reasons, albeit slightly more aesthetically pleasing.
Naw. I feel the complete opposite. The only time where I thought it was great I'd when it's used for Festivals/Concerts. For NFL and Football/Soccer...it's pretty dull. It always gives off a work in progress stadium feel. The seats on the second level at the back or ends give off a skewed perspective. It's as if there is something missing, a void. Doesn't give off its a giant stadium at all
What Soldier Field was known for was that front facade. They didn't want to take that away. By that same token, making the rest of the stadium look like a spaceship is just... off. It doesn't fit the area. They should have stayed with the same look, just make it modern. If Indiana can turn that barn look into a world class football stadium, so could Chicago. Although now it's too late, the Bears are fleeing to Arlington Heights.
Soldier Field is probably the most beautiful stadium on earth. It’s right next to the lake and you can see downtown in the background. There is an a bad seat in that stadium.
If you take the "i" out of the "Stadium" ➡️ "Stadum" and the "i" is you, you'll become smarter, want to know how? i Because Stad'um sounds like ➡️ Stay dumb
NRG stadium is great man. There are not many bad seats. You feel close to the field. It might be ugly, aesthetically, but it is a good stadium for watching the game.
Ive been to Lambeau almost 10 times and it never gets old!... its always exciting and the vibe of the fans along with the walk to your seat, its just beautiful. Ive sat in the bowl and in the newer endzone seats... there isnt a bad seat in the stadium.
No bad seat is because the original bowl is designed for one thing, to watch football. Over the years all of the renovations and additional seating have been designed for the same purpose.
if you find being squished into your seat due to all the morbidly obese people in Green Bay encroaching on your seat and if you enjoy sitting on a steel bench (if you have enough room to sit down), then sure, its just a big bowl so you can see the field. I'd rather not have to pay an additional 30 bucks for a cushion.
@@irishplayerkc I've been to many games there, never squished... plus, standing is the only way. I've been to stadiums with the individual seats, they suck
@@irishplayerkc you can bring in a cushion. Every time I've been there during winter games I've brought a hunting hot seat. Other people bring backed seats that go over the bleachers and no one has a problem with it.
I've been in Lucas Oil Stadium a couple times for what seems like the oddest events for an NFL stadium, but it is so cool for the kids participating, the VEX Indiana Robotics State Championship. Getting 300 teams and 6 stages of kids competing it almost makes the Worlds you qualify for at state small in comparison. It does make us the envy of most states. The seating is great, the concourses are colorful, the food selection is okay although not all vendors are up when I'm there. I can't wait for May of next year as my kids are still competing, and plan on being there again.
I drove past the stadium unexpectedly while following a detour caused by an accident on the highway on a long journey. When I looked up and realized I was driving past it I pulled over and admired the building for a bit! It looked pretty cool to me. Arrowhead and Soldier Field are my “home” fields. I was just surprised there wasn’t any retail anywhere in sight. I REALLY needed somewhere to pull off for a bit after being stuck on the highway for quite a long while before I was able to get to the exit for the detour lol. Then I ended up back on the highway and had to go even further down the road till I found a useful exit!
@@DebraJean196 south street, which is to the north of the stadium has a few things, but McCarty to the south does not. south is the street that marks the end of downtown allegedly, so maybe that's why McCarty is so empty.
@@PapaVanTwee5 that’s probably where I was then. I was just following Apple’s driving directions lol. Me and about 5000 other cars! Kinda freaked out when I realized I was driving right past the stadium. Made the long detour well worth the hassle! Beautiful building. Wish I could have spent more time wandering around looking at it but I was already 3/4 of my time into the travel time and had covered just over 1/2 the distance so I was a bit rushed to avid another night in a motel.
I live in LA and Sofi is amazing in every area except game time environment as the fans aren’t as passionate. I’ve been to US Bank In Minnesota and the fan experience for the Vikings is unbelievable
The Cardinals stadium uses grass every Sunday but for the super bowl the NFL wanted to use turf and changed the field out. It wasn't the same field that the cardinals play on 😂
And you’ll note that Arrowhead owns the crowd noise level record without any gimmicks like overhanging partial roofs to help it out. Arrowhead just ROCKS
If you take the "i" out of the "Stadium" ➡️ "Stadum" and the "i" is you, you'll become smarter, want to know how? Because Stadum sounds like ➡️ Stay dumb
76,416 capacity at Arrowhead. Lumen field holds 68,000 Seats. If you want to bring up structure difference, don't forget Arrowhead has 5-10k more fans adding to the noise :) Idk how much difference that makes compared to Seahawks intentionally build noise barrier, but there are advantages Arrowhead has as well. I hope the 12's can take that record back some day :P Oh yeah, and it always rains in Seattle, i think they said like 70% or so of the crowd is covered by that roof. Idk KC weather tho.
Ford Field with a new roof and some more seats could be even higher on this list. They tried to remodel it and put a retractable roof on about 4 years ago but it would’ve costed more than a new stadium with there being tons of businesses and another stadium right next door I don’t see it ever happening, but I think with more natural light and 3k more seats would make it a top 10 stadium. For being 20 years old it’s aged great it fits right in with the rest of the city.
It should come in at #2, considering it was built before some of the newer stadiums who have tried matching the endzone window idea. Wasn't made to look like a spaceship but rather a giant brick barn with a basic layout. Indy has the best NBA and NFL stadiums, I'm probably biased being from Indiana. Indy knocked them out of the ballpark.
I've been in LOS a couple times for what seems like the oddest events for an NFL stadium, but it is so cool for the kids participating, the VEX Indiana Robotics State Championship. Indiana has the most schools competing in VEX, due to Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard opening up funding for schools to participate. Getting 300 teams and 6 stages of kids competing it almost makes the Worlds you qualify for at state small in comparison. It does make us the envy of most states.
@@mfpimp83 only seen the outside, but it certainly looked more like a barn than a spaceship to me. I got routed past it on a highway detour and was so impressed I had to stop and take a better look
@@mfpimp83I agree, and I’m not even a Colts fan. Part of what I love about it is that it reminds me a lot of Olympia Stadium in Detroit, where the Red Wings played from 1927 to 1979.
Ford Field is pretty nice. I’m from Detroit and I’ve been going to their games a lot. My dad said since I was born so I mean it’s a Meijer Stadium The, but good food never been in the suites before they could use some renovations with the ceiling you’re right.
Lambeau is amazing, it’s a mix of history, a great exterior, everyone has a good view yet the inside is actually very nice and has many modern and luxurious amenities
Wait until the New Highmark stadium is finished in ‘26. It will be a muncher better experience in the colder months and even louder because of the canopy style partial roof.
MetLife Stadium has the highest level of success and fan comfort. That alone makes it the NFL's best stadium. Does it matter if the building design is not flashy ???
As old as the Superdome is, it still maintains a modern look. Plus tourism is the only thing New Orleans has going for it, so they have to keep it updated.
That's because the Superdome was renovated after Hurricane Katrina. It looked odd as a baseball stadium. MLB never took it seriously, so they removed the portable seats.
Notice also that if you wear another team’s jersey at Lambeau Field you’re going to be teased a little but you won’t be abused or assaulted the way I’ve seen Packers fans assaulted at Cowboys or Eagles home games, for instance.
Ford Field usually gets ranked very low. Nice to see someone rank it astleast in the upper half of good stadiums. I think as the Lions get better and they continue to sell out games, the atmosphere will bump this up to top 10 in the coming years!
I honestly don't see them playing in ford field for another 10 years. The stadium is already about 20 years old, they are looking to relocate from Allen park. I say within the next 3-5 years we will hear something about a new stadium, bunch of teams are getting new stadiums now.
There's more to a stadium than what color the seats are or what the upper deck looks like. How easy is it to get to (whether driving or using municipal transportation), how is parking, how the people can access the stadium, concourse, food courts, etc... Basing rankings on aesthetics isn't a true ranking IMO
90% of what this guy complains about the fans care absolutely nothing about. And what is with this guy's hard on for seat colors. The seat colors usually match the team's colors. Also, if you notice, he only likes orange color seats. By the way, this dude lost ALL credibility by placing Lambeau Field as #1. What a joke!!
I noticed the same thing, and it really bugged me. Why WOULDN'T the colors match the team colors? It's a dumb complaint. I also really want to know what he has against upper decks, as he always seems to be complaining about the upper decks. 😂
The bengals are in dire need of an upgrade. A stadium reminiscent of Lucas oil field (complete with a retractable roof) would be ideal. But that’s likely a decade + away from even being talked about
Tampa at home for the pandemic SB & the Rams are home the very next year. Never happened before in the history of the NFL and all of a sudden, two years in a row. Wild.
Thank you for calling it Arrowhead and excluding our stupid corporate sponsor. Long live Arrowhead. It should get the Lambeau treatment and live forever
FYI; an historical note that's been forgotten outside of Wisconsin. The bowl section of seating at Lambeau Field is still in the configuration of the design that was proposed and excepted when it was built as City Stadium. That design was submitted by Curley Lambeau who played college ball at Notre Dame. He basically copied the design of Notre Dame stadium. That stadium was designed by Knute Rockne to give fans a great view of the field from any seat. Built only to watch football, not for multi use. It'll never host a superbowl, but if you want season tickets put your kids name on the list if you're over 40.
The awesome thing about open bowl stadiums like the Buffalo Bills’ Highmark stadium is that there are absolutely no shadows on the field during day games. So Bills’ games look great on TV. Any stadium with a canopy ends up having half the field in shadow for most of the game. It sucks.
Pittsburgh/Accrisure/Heinz is a TOP 5 experience in the NFL. The setting, natural grass, by the rivers, the cityviews, the rabid fans. If you have not been then you just have no clue what you are talking about.
I just have to ask~have you ever been to Wisconsin in January? If you have you wouldn't rank Lambeau Field as #1. It might have character but I would NEVER go to a Packers game end of November thru January and don't forget possible 90 degree temps in September. Good times!
I think NRG should get more points for having the Metrorail that takes you there and shuttle busses during rodeo week. It makes getting there very easy. I've been to AT&T Stadium and getting in and out sucks. Same goes for StateFarm, Sofi, Alligiant Stadium and even Hard Rock Stadium.
Mass transit access should be a must for any new stadium. All those cars just makes for a mess - long transit times, expensive travel fuel costs, stressful driving, etc. I ride express busses in KC and Chicago - much more peaceful and cheaper!
I think you're thinking of the Cowboys old stadium with their roof hole in place of the NRG. A quick google image search tells me the roof of NRG opens up all the way. Sure it's not directly open over the seats but I don't in any way think its a bad thing. More shade for fans when the roof is open.
You really put packers at number 1 lmao. Allegiant stadium is better than Sofi. Premium seating, better high class food, and even a nightclub after the game. Sofi looks nice on the outside and has a round screen in the middle, that's it
13th for Lumen Field is a crime. I went to a game in the middle of one of the largest blizzards in Seattle history and I still had a world class stadium experience. It’s true that most of that has to do with the fan environment, it’s what puts it over more modern stadiums that suck like Levi’s or have a stale environment like SoFi The fact that a stadium 100,000 miles away from the city they actually play in with no shade whatsoever from the hot California sun unless your a rich tech guy that don’t have fans who show up when their team is trash is ranked higher than a downtown stadium with unique seating, the second loudest crowd, and decent shade should be a sin Go Hawks
... unless you're* a rich tech guy ... Also, Lumen is still the loudest stadium, because Arrowhead's is an artificial record - they asked the crowd to be particularly loud for a staged world record event. Lumen, then Century Link, Field's previous record was a natural one, people were just loud for the fun of it.
I get that Lambeau is iconic but objectively it can’t be the best stadium in the NFL. It literally don’t even have seats. They still use cold metal benches in 2023. That notches it down atleast a couple spots
As a Packers fan, I was surprised that it was ranked #1. As much as I love Lambeau Field, SoFi or one of the other newer stadiums deserves the top spot.
Cincinnati is putting over $200 million into a renovation. I've been there. Shouldn't be ranked that low. The concourse area are huge. The place can be sold out, but it doesn't feel like it. Very easy to get in and out of. The prior stadium, Cinergy Field, was an absolute nightmare.
You should really include amenities in the stadium with rankings. What's the concourse like? Is it easy to move around? Is it open so you can see the field if you're getting food or going to that bathroom? How many bathrooms, concessions? Will you be waiting in line? Also don't get what you'd like out of a upper deck... Big upper deck means less sections, means you're closer to field. Sofi's upper deck looks like you'd be a mile away from the field. Cool tech, it's modern. But looks horrible to watch a game unless you're dropping $300+ for a ticket.
Good pick with Lambeau, I've never been there but playing in the cold and snow is a part of football tradition and part of the experience as a spectator.
No roof at Hard Rock to preserve the home field heat advantage. 1:00PM games early in the year are no fun for opponents early in the season as the sun beams onto the visitor’s sideline. It can be debilitatingly hot.
Nissan stadium, I’ve been there twice and I know it’s a typical field but it serves its purpose well, has a enough seats and a nice view of the city, should be in the 20-15 range
The map in the beginning was hilarious, there's no team from Washington state, Oklahoma, there aren't 2 teams in N Carolina, and there's no team in Alabama. Also, it's called Jaguars, not JagWIRES!!
Ford and Cesar’s do people like the darkness? Seems like you’re in a theater imo I’m not a fan of it I have not been to neither. But how’s y’all experience? I’m curious on these stadiums
Overall not a bad ranking. I would have had Lumen and Arrowhead a lot higher (top 5) as they are ultimately the 2 best home field advantages in Football. The building in Cincinnati actually has been praised for its architectural design and was probably too low on the list. But overall…good job with the list
Arrowhead and lumen top 5 is crazy. At some point, just because a building is historic and old doesn’t mean it’s better than state of the art world class facilities.
Well dam I guess i'm missing out if my teams stadium is 27th, did like what you said about it being a fit for Buffalo because it is and i've never had a bad time there.
Ford Field is definitely a top 15 NFL stadium. Ford Field had a multi-million-dollar renovation just a few years ago and the roof can literally change colors.
The main reason Sofi stadium cost so much to build was it's location and cost to built per squared meter is at top of list. If you do the adjustments and keep that variable at a controlled number AT&T stadium immediately jumps to that spot.
The air in Green Bay on any football Sunday is so pure and perfect that you wish you could ingest it as food. The Packers players love the fans and vice-versa. Sometimes it’s personal. The late Hall of Fame middle linebacker Ray Nitschke and I developed a deep friendship for 30 years! I called him my “Extra Dad”. My father loved that. He loved Ray, too!
