Greetings; Former Horizon Air Mechanic here. I was there when the first Q400 arrived. I was there when the last Q400 was delivered. I wasn't there when they left service. I will miss them. To the Q400: Thank for your service, and many more good journeys.
I will miss the Q having flown on the Pasco - Seattle route many times also when it use to go between Pasco and Portland. There nothing like flying with props. Reminded me of the many times I flew in TWA Connies and Super Connies back in the day.
Thanks, I haven't been on this workhorse, but last August 2022 I visit Seattle have the opportunity to see how much they mean to all you, I'm glad they will be service others.
I work in Seattle as a ramper for another airline and I have to say it feels weird seeing no q400s on the C gates. And the ERJs only being 1/2 maybe 3/4s of the lines now.
I remember I went with former Air Berlin's Dash 400 to Palma de Mallorca and from Palma with any Airbus to Alicante. I really liked this airplane but it was very loud 😊
