The official last 737-300 to visit St. Louis. All of us got to sign the plane and add comments and notes on it. Did a lot of writing myself. N639SW, built September 27th 1996. She just turned 21 recently. Quite sad to think I'm as old as a plane being retired XD. Hope you all enjoy this last chance to see a 737-300.

I remember flying the 200s and the wife and kids and I flying the 300s on several trips from Tennessee to California and back.

Thank god I don't have to work on a hot sweltering 300 anymore but I still love the classics.

Clarence Wade I haven't worked bins in those in a long time. Gate lead man. I will agree those things are freaking hot as heck. Weird how hot they get

Boeingfan727 I'm a flight attendant and most of them don't have any air vents in the galleys and it gets so hott especially in the front.

I flew on this plane about a month before this was uploaded, AUS-STL. In my opinion, a lot more comfortable than the newer "Heart" interior/slimline seats. Love the classics!

IDK why but I love the lighting design on the classics, I flew WN 733's as a kid and was recently on an older UA 753 with a similar lighting scheme and it brought back a lot of memories.

Southwest literally got the right plane at the right time during its great national expansion in the 1980's. Far quieter than the 737-200, the 737-300 proved to be ideal for Southwest operating out of many noise-restricted airports across its route network, particularly in the Los Angeles metro area. The plane has served the company very well, but it is time to retire them as they are replaced by a the 737-700 (and eventally 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 7 models).
