Praying for those firefighters injured in this blast to make full recoveries.. I fear that more of these tractors powered by Compressed Natural Gas are going to cause blasts like these unless the FMCSA [Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration] mandates that these type of fuel tanks under 3300 psi are strengthened or reinforced to minimize the possibility of explosion if ruptured.

Former professional firefighter here , praying for all the firefighters who were injured. The job is very rewarding but the danger is everywhere, no one can see every single thing that could happen.

EV vehicles are too dangerous to deal with when they crash or on fire. Every time Tesla car crashes they have those deadly battery fires. Gas vehicles are still number 1
This is a BLEVE Which is an explosion of compressed Flammable Gas. This incident is absolutely a dangerous situation And sometimes these things happen and it concerns everyone. Remember what i said about stored energy? Especially stored energy sufficient enough to move heavy loads quickly? Two 3.3k compressed CNG is one hell of a lot of stored energy. Which illustrates that no matter what energy source is used that storing large amounts of it to move heavy metal quickly...is the art of boom building. And i don't use the other word to define the sudden release of energy because it triggers certain alphabet orgs algorithms. Gasoline is not stored under anything other than atmospheric pressures. Same with diesel and volume for volume these liquid energy sources are still far less in volume than the alternatives. Especially condensed or pressurized sources such as LPG or, CNG and lithium ion in the latter. Two of the nine firefighters in this scenario are still in critical condition. CNG goes boom! These firefighters should have assessed the situation better before allowing so many personnel that close to an obviously super heated cylinder of CNG. Cooling that tank is the initial priority to make entry even possible. This i believe is more of an issue of improper hiring stuff like diversity hiring and affirmative action policies. I hope the responders in the worse condition will be ok. In my prayers...
as a trucker that has dealt with natural,propane,gasoline,all kinds of dangerous liquid chemicals i commend the lady driver for her awareness--the fire fighters blew it--they were aware of the risk and ignored it--you do not approach the risk until you understand it--what i learned for years of doing it is to RUN !!!!!!! forget about fighting the fire until you understand the risk!!!

Port recently banned diesel truck registration this year moving forward and they want to replace them with these bomb on wheels or highly flammable electric semi trucks. If they dont lift the diesel ban in 2032 then get ready for a ton of traffic. Why? You'll need 2 trucks to take a container out of state; 1 electric truck to pull it out of the port and 1 diesel truck to deliver it. So Imagine the same width highways but 2x the amount of trucks. Get ready to spend 2 hours in traffic to travel 20 miles in Socal 😂.
My heart goes out to all the firefighters in their families and hopefully all of them will have a swift recovery as they are the heroes definitely they are the heroes on the other hand. There should be no vehicles on the road with 3000 pounds of natural gas on either side of the truck they should just bandit go back to diesel, after we get rid of Joe Biden, we will be able to go back to diesel
