Hearing the accent I don't think the tour guide is Japanese. At least not a native Japanese. Maybe a naturalized Japanese. She sounds Singaporean or Malaysian. Maybe Thai or Vietnamese.

Sorry for my lack of understanding when I wrote the comment. I assumed they were a citizen since COVID restrictions have been tight in Japan with foreigners and visas, but she could be working abroad (or simply working) as a tour guide for English speakers. @@imaperson682 I know the Philippines is a popular destination for Japanese to get English immersion classes. Maybe they have similar program in other places in Asia. She could still be Japanese. Maybe she picked up her accent during her time abroad for other reasons or up bringing. Statistically speaking, however, I don't think she is Japanese. I think, when given the choice, I also preferred cooked fish. And I do know of Japanese people that don't like fish raw. (Watching Japanese TV shows (idols)). It does seem like they are a small minority in Japan.

They might have enjoyed it more if they had a tour guide guiding them throughout the exhibits and explaining things but it looks like they were on their own.
