The gang clears up their relationship with Frank Ocean; Calls Wu-Tang old; Gives B.O.B. props and then diss him again; mock Cuba Gooding Jr; and talks about drawing swastikas on their clothing and lil girls foreheads.
george haythorn i know right? dont understand those people talking shit about odb. doesnt matter if hes been gone a long time, the greats never die.otherwise they wouldnt be talking about him in this interview... right? happy new year to y'all.
@@user-yy8um2vc8e how come no one gives a fuck about odd future anymore but Wu tang is still loved by the younger generation and people who remember it, 30 years into their career. They’re kicking off one of the biggest international tours of the year, what is OF doing? OF has great solo artists, but as a group, it’s nothing on Wu tang
It's quite obvious they don't want to be categorized with Wu-Tang, because Wu was something different. They represented something different and Odd Future represents something completely different. Different types of hiphop for different moods / people.
There is one thing that any artist hate : to be compared to another artist. But everybody got to recognize that Gravediggaz open the hell door for the next generation.
It showed incredible potential from Tyler, which he still has, but he knows his fanbase so he decides to hardly try anymore. I do love that album though
@@tecumseh821 I honestly can't remember or find it. But on assmilk Tyler says "odd future wolf gang, wu tang banging in your system" which still makes this ironic lol
I just saw an inspectsh deck interview where he said Wu confronted Tyler in his winnbago in europe. Bet dude was singing a different tune than he was in this interview
@@RandomGuy-zl5sp you lack reading comprehension? I was explaining a video where a member of wu tang confronted Tyler. Another example of our failed education system
I would disagree heavily in the sense that RZA gets well deserved critical acclaim for producing raw beats that pretty much your average MC could spit over and still sound alright. But instead, you have a large collective of different personalities almost all of them with an amazing and distinct flow. They could pretty much lay down any lyrics that don't make sense and they'd still be bangers but then they go above and beyond again and lay down solid lyrics riddled with symbolism and metaphors.
5:08 Haha. "I dont want no yonker fans to come" Thats funny because i talk to so many people and i ask if they like him, and they only know that song...
Really? Because last time I checked in 1993, 36 Chambers came out to raver reviews for its uniqueness, and flawlless rhymes and production. Yeah there were comparisons with PE, but never the criticism. I've seen OF live, they were supporting Eminem last year, and quite frankly, they were shit. I really did try to get into their music, but they just shouted rhymes to really basic music. Not impressed. Adn regardless of how good you are, you never ever disrespect the Wu. Just ask 50 Cent...
Jaysal Bhardwa Fuck reviews, that's what golden era hip hop fans from the 80's were saying in the 90's. They sound like shit live, but their sound is extremely unique, just like how Wu Tang's sound was unique at the time.
when ive been introduced to tyler through watching interviews, ive become less of a fan. he lacks too much of the intensity that he portrays in his music. hes quick to disrespect people but slow and inadequate in ways to level out the situation. and he does it very unnecessarily. i mean WU didnt bring up this comparison thing, so why disrespect them? and i KNOW if this was back in the day they would have a different approach to answering some questions. thats the truth
"His idols would lock down airports and extort some import, catchin ten percent of what the fiends snort" -GZA - Gold First that comes in mind but trust me, there are many more
These kids have no respect or recognition for the predecessors that made their careers possible. Wutang was and still is one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time, and these kids have yet to reach that status.
Dismembered? Yes, sad but true. Sold out? No way! Twelve Reasons to Die and CZARFACE both came out this year and were both really good, and stuck to the roots while switching things up.
I'm from the U.S., where we speak English. Rugged means tough or harsh and I used it as an adjective to describe the slang--or informal type of language --that is often used by the Wu.
Actually if you look deep into some of their songs you realize that Odd Future aint always hype. And don't try to act like Wu Tang didn't hype shit either
