this is the problem with having collabs being tied with the season, you cant really bring them back in any way without removing a large chunk of that season. its like epic doesnt even own the seasons themselves
@@gabrielhernandez2736 I’m not taking anything away from anyone? My point was it’s not what I want, it’s what makes more sense. If Fortnite were to bring back a season, it should be for experiencing the original version and see how much the game has evolved over time. Unless of course the fundamentals of the game has always revisited old seasons (but that’s not how Fortnite is built) Also you could argue “nostalgia” for literally any season; no matter what season you bring back, some are going to feel more nostalgic about it than others, and therefore some will be opinionated to which season is brought back.
I’m hoping that with OG chapter 2 it’s a faithful remake of what it was, but I also hope that we get every season in OG 2. They could do what they did for the first OG season and have 2 seasons a week, combining the two seasons and their elements.
Chapter 2 was so boring. The only vehicle in the early seasons was the helicopter. The map was bland and too big. Shakedowns made too many teams die off spawn, which led to dead mid-game that everyone complained about. People only remember the mythics, bosses and vaults, but we get those in every season these days. People are going to wind up being very bored with this, imo. Ch2 was very different than Ch1.
I could not care less about chapter 2. If you take off the nostalgia tinted glasses which we all have there really is nothing memorable about chapter 2.
@@John6-40 Chapter 2 was never really loved as a chapter back then, it was in fact hated by many (ch2s2 was the only season that was still considered alright). It's just so admired now, because all the little timmies probably started in that chapter and still play, whilst most OGs have moved on.

In fairness for Chapter 2 Season 8, the Venom and Carnage mythics were only around for the first week or so of the season before they got vaulted forever, so it wouldn't really be associated that hard with the season in general. What most people remember about Cubed was the War Funding mechanic to get turrets in places on the map anyways, so there really should be a potential chance at it being brought back too.
@@BumbulousGrump we had biomes every season, but they were removed and replaced with some trash poi. POI's like dirty docks, craggy cliffs, pleasant park, retail, lazy lake, weeping woods, and more, didn't have any changes at all.
The more chapters they revisit, the less the "OG" term fits. I feel like it should be called something else like "Flashback" or whatever. In a few years it could be OG Chapter 5 and that's just absurd. (Edit: Ironically, someone copied and pasted this comment word for word and botted the likes. What an honor.)
I doubt in 2025 they'll do chapter 3... they'd probably either do Chapter 1 again or will just not do it in 2025 because OG chapter 2 will get less players than chapter 1
Ehhh I already played the old maps to death I'm ready for new one so og lasting a month is enough time for me. Besides I'm more excited to get into chapter 6 as soon as possible because the servey skins point to the possibility that it's Japanese theme which is my favorite type of theme in gaming also there so many skins I wanna get when those servey skins drop. It's just "sigh" going back to older maps that I already know and already played in the past just doesn't excite as much as the unknown of further new islands.
the mountain where midas is sailing to on the c5 map, is the same mountain as c2, so c2 is on the other side of the mountain, both islands are right next to each other.
I miss chapter 2 season 1 the most because of its simplicity, but I honestly liked OG better. I wish they made it a full season rather than a single month.
I’ve always liked chapter 2 more than chapter 1, chapter 2 is where I really got into the game and I was a very intense player during it. I’m way more excited for this then regular OG
I remember epic games tweeted about the OG season of fortnite saying that they were really supprised on how well it performed and maybe dropping a game mode as the orginial og fortnite with old png images for guns basically a copy and paste of the old fortnite we all loved.
I'm pretty sure it was said somewhere that they're doing the whole Chapter 2, not just 3 seasons. They just put the first 3 seasons in the image as a placeholder & because they can't really fit all 8 of them in one image. Same can be said for the Dr. Doom image, that's literally one of the headers from the comics.

First of all I 100% agree that Chapter 1 is more popular (because that's just a fact, doesn't matter whether I agree or not) and more loved, but I still enjoyed Chapter 2. Also, when you said Chapter 1 was a "snoozefest", that's kind of the point. I like the simplicity, all the goofy shit from the new seasons just makes the game too crazy and wild to enjoy. And it's not just me, that's a huge reason of why chapter 1 is so loved, *because* it was simple.
I also don't get how they would do this in the storyline. The whole point of chapter 4 season 4 was to lead into OG. However if the last season is a marvel season, how will we go to OG?

They brought one of the most beloved characters with their original voice actor back for the first time in 2 years, got a very talented voice actor for the new lead character Hope, and this is the most focused and consistent a storyline has been since chapter 3. I really think they got the wrong Idea after seeing the success of Season OG. They seem to be treating it as this nostalgia vat that they can rip old seasons out of when it comes time to promote the new chapter. What they should have gathered from it were the things that worked about it to apply to future seasons/chapters. We have yet to see a perfect chapter and if Epic actually took some old features or aspects and applied to new chapters while keeping the newer features that are superior It would be significantly easier for a larger audience to identify with the game and stick around. In terms of my preference for an older map remake I am personally very interested to see the chapter 2 map again as I view it as a better base map than say the ch1 s5 map. That being said Ch 2 was not nearly as popular in my friend group so I would rather play another ch1 remake.
i was really sad when the fortnite og season came out and there was no anarchy acres or moisty mire like for the people who played when the game first came out i would love for them to bring out the very first map before tilted towers with flushfactory, anarchy, fatal feilds, retail row , lonely lodge , wailing woods, moisty mire, pleasant park, greasy grove and dusty depot and salty springs that would really hit me with nostalgia to the fullest i already know chapter 2 just wont hit the same at all they need to bring back the first map
The one thing I think chapter 2 OG could do to absolutely cook that would never happen, Is to do a flipped event again at the end and reveal the chapter 3 map reimagined and have chapter 6 start there.
It’s extremely stupid that they’re not doing 7 and 8 when thats when ch2 loot pool started to feel fresh. For most of ch2 it was pump (sometimes charge or lever) ,scar,heals, Launchpad. Suddenly s7 and 8 came in with the railgun, Recon scanner, combat rifle, armored wall, shockwave launcher (as chest loot). I can’t understand the decision to have 3 seasons which feature weapons that are mostly from the first chapter.
To be fair, it's more of a concept. You can see in the C5S3 portion of the timeline, the concept art has several differences compared to what actually came in.
Chapter 2 was wack. It'll probably make a lot of people come back at first but there is just no way they are going to do another season like this in the future. Doing chapter 2 is already not og anymore
I started playing fortnite fortnite chapter 2 season 2, though it may not hype most other people but if the road map is real, I can't wait to relive (most) of the chapter 2 island and make the most of it. (I especially miss landing catty corners.)
Honestly, i mainly wanna see what skins will be in the og pass because while a season will change and maps switch, come and go, cosmetics won't leave a players locker so easily. It'd be cool to see something like (my ideas for remix skins): - Fusion Fade (Fusion and Fade remix) - Ripped-Ley Meowscles (Rippley, Meowscles and kit remix) - Came-Ocean (Cameo and Ocean remix) - Eternal 8-Ball (Eternal knight and 8-Ball remix)
one interesting thing they could do for chapter 2 og, is instead of starting with the season 1 map and changing it over time, they could make one map that basically combines all the chapter 2 map changes into one map it would bring a unique twist to the season while giving an interesting and chaotic version of the chapter 2 map that we have never seen this idea would also not have an issue from making it work with collabs because they could just not include the collab stuff chapter 2 often undid map changes after a season anyway and most of the map stayed the same, the whole base map also doesnt have much biome variety, so it would be a lot more interesting if they did this

I agree, You said some very wise realities. But you have to understand that its not impossible for collabs to return. MARVEL is from DINSEY. STAR-WARS is from Disney. DISNY and epic made a contract. disney will get 10% of epic games (FOREVER). this means that it is going to get a lot easier to get collabs back in chapter 2. and since we still have half a year to go maybe epic will figure it out.
Tbh for OG chp 2 sounds pretty nice for its when i actually started playing full time and to me the map for both sesson 2 and 3 were pretty good and i got almost every item/skin in the BP
I’m pleasantly surprised by the fact that people have loved reload so far. I thought there was gonna be loads of people complaining about how “it’s weird” and “not the real OG map”, so it’s nice to see everyone be obsessed with it. (also it gives lego fortnite xp we are so back)
Here’s a suggestion make a permanent game mode of the chapter 1-2-3-4 map and you’ve got maybe 1-2 million people coming back to the game oh wait that would make sense for epic to do na scratch that idea it’s too complicated.
Considering Megla Don was leaked via the roadmap, despite it's differences to the Season, the road map is definitely real. However what may be planned is probably 80%-ish confirmed. Stuff can change in the time, and sometimes even for the worst. Disney could do something and then Pirates could be a no-go all of a sudden and that part of the roadmap is GONE, however that case, while still plausible, is unlikely. Due to the roadmap being made there's stuff in the works months before it's initial release, whether in the concept stage, or modeling/rigging/animating stage and what not. So it's safe to say little stuff will be cut from this road map, but the Rocket Racing season being delayed is a confirmation of the "worst" change, though on a lesser scale. Which means the roadmap is 100% likely to be different as the months go by up until Chapter 6, but by what small changes there is to be, we don't know.
I’m part of the people who want chapter 2 back, it was the best chapter in my opinion because of the marvel season and the spy season, the weapons hopefully will be brought back, but pleas epic don’t keep the new features in when you do it, it doesn’t make it fun.

i'd rather every map from every single season ever be possible to play. every. we can get rid of those sketchy discord servers, and og projects, and everyone can enjoy the game how they want.
Me being a (technically) veteran, they could simply make a map mode swap just like pubg does or many other games. They could simply implement a feature where you can change chapter/seasons but not do the battlepasses.
I'd love if they brought back last year's OG Chapter 1 map and battle pass and make that permanent mode, and then make revisiting Chapter 2 and onward an actual season and call it "rewind" or something. Like you said, OG should be the roots of Fortnite.
As someone who started in Chapter two, I do 100% agree that it will likely be less interesting than the first OG, but either way I’m hyped, while collabs will take away a decent chunk of the chapter, there are still lots of possibilities, like The Shark, The Fortilla, Boney Burbs, the Colluseum etc. there are a lot of interesting POIs and Bosses that could return and overall I think it will still make a great season
I loved chapter two and I’m hyped for it to re-release but I hope they actually put a lot of effort into it like chptr 1 og. They won’t get 9.5mil players but I could see at least 5 mil being possible
I’m excited for fortnite OG 2 because I never played during that chapter. I hope they rebuff the mythic weapons from season 2 to relflect how it was back then but I understand they have to keep things a little balanced so if they’re nerfed that’s fine.
Ok so I have a theory because chapters 1 and 2 are the most loved fortnite chapters there gonna show off the first 3 seasons of chapter 2 in November and in December when chapter 6 drops they release 2 game modes fortnite og chapter 1 and the same thing for chapter 2
I think season 3 of chapter 2 can take up 2 weeks as there were about 7 stages of the water lowering and if it lowers every 2 days I think that would be really fun and actually make people log on more due to the changes. I mean I love the chapter 2 season 3 map as them incorporating all the stages would really freshen up the game and map a lot
I feel like they should instead bring back chapter 1 like every 5 years or even bring back chapter 1 map but add new content to it rather than chapter 2 or even chapter 3 potentially next year.

I was hoping they'd mesh seasons together like they did for season OG, like get season 1 out of here, start in season 2, then flood the map and put some of the zero point sand there at the same time, then Have the Alien crap happening at the same time as the cube crap idk man C2 was a mess
At this point epic should just release an OG gamemode with seasons and chapter rotations every week and add a new chapter to it's rotation every year. Many players would return just to play this gamemode but they would eventually try the newest season cuz of boredom or a season that they don't like being in the rotation.
I think we should do looping gamemodes for each chapter, so that we get a week of each season. Like, in the chapter 1 gamemode, you get a week of ch1 s1, then s2, then s3, all the way to season x, then it loops back to ch1 s1. And then have a gamemode for every chapter, once that chapter is finished. That way, the people ch1 can play as much ch1 as they want, and if they don't like a particular season (such as season X) they can either play a different season from one of the other chapters, play the current chapter/season, or play a creator experience. (Or play a different game, in the highly unlikely event that you like none of the seasons in affect at that moment) Everyone would be happy, and we could see what chapters and seasons were actually the most popular, and then everyone can stop complaining about literally every new season. (Because I, for one, am tired of everyone in every single fanbase bitching about literally every single new thing that comes out. I swear if when Ch6 comes out I see people saying "I wish we could go back to Ch5!" I might actually start tweaking)
Another thing about og chapter 2 is if we are getting only seasons 1 2 and 3 then how is the ch2 end event gonna play into it? It was leaked that we are getting an end event, so is it gonna be a whole new event or are they gonna rush the s8 story towards the end and then have the event
I personally think that they can bring back the licence seasons as meetings would've definitely been in place when making skins return to the shop and that but epic are lazy these days so they probably choose not too
just make Fortnite OG 1 permanent and cycling as a game mode, abd then OG 2 to just do what OG 1 did, as, hear me out, EVERY COLLAB BESIDES PREDATOR THAT HAD A POI WAS DISNEY. S1 and 2 combined, 3 and 4 combined, 5 and 6 somehow combined, and 7 and 8 combined, as then for a 4 week season we get a new update each week. Also Stealthy Stronghold isn't copyrighted or anything and is just where the Predator was, so they can just remove him ig.

I think ch2 s1-3 is a great lineup. I remember having a lot of fun those seasons and the other seasons that chapter were really dull to me. The first 3 seasons also felt a lot more unique to me being the first of their kind in a way.
i 100% want chapter 2 to be the next og bc i started in ch2 s7 and its my fav season same with cubed and i dont think fortnite would want to do the same thing only a year later
The biggest reason I didn't like Chapter 2 Season 1 is because it overstayed its welcome. It's the longest season to date (128 days), almost double the length of the average Chapter 1 Season. But if the Chapter 2 OG map only consists of the first 3 Seasons, it makes me wonder what the end event will be. The first OG Season ended with a version of the original End event with the time machine haphazardly strapped onto it.

I personally didn't care for old Fortnite (I started playing in 2023 Chapter 4 Season 2, and I didn't care for OG Fortnite for that month) but if they do another Midas skin then I'd play for the battle pass.
chapter 2 is going to be weird since once chapter 2 ended they added ghost and shadow henchman as skins as to not be pay 2 win since they werent in the game anymore but if they get bought back wont it be even more easy to pretend to be a guard?
if they ever bring back the chapter 1 map again i'd want them to just make it a separate thing you could choose to play as a side map or somethin as opposed to season og again

To me and many others, OG chapter 2 will only include seasons "1, 2, and 3" is meaningless. We'll most likely go into every season in chapter 2, OG, even if it's just a single map change, because the end event happened in chapter 2 season 8. Personally, I think they won't wrap it up with just three seasons because that wouldn't make sense. Furthermore, since the festival, rocket racing, and even Lego were already featured in the Big Bang, it is unlikely that they will be included in the chapter 2 finale.
LMFAO you’re right, Ch2 S5 is one of my favorite seasons of all of Fortnite but it’s basically a collab season, I really liked the map and the gameplay but idk how they could pull it off for OG season
