@@CardCaptorDeadpool Right? I remember when this video was fresh and had old comments saying how they had been looking for this episode for over 4-6 years (Digimon 01 reruns having ended in the early 2000s and RU-vid being launched in 2006). I remember even in 2012 thinking "man this video is old!". Keep watching Digimon and hope you're doing great!
Right!? I just recently reqatched the whole first season and Puppetmon had the most depth of any dark master. Just wanted to have fun and needed some good company in his life.
Another RU-vidr went into what *Puppetmon* might have symbolized in terms of some of our own psychological depths in real life. He’s supposed to be a reflection of his fictional programmer’s mentality and life of that of an adult remaining a lonely child inside refusing to grown up an accept change which caused psychological instability (explaining Puppetmon’s violent outbursts). If this was the creator’s intent- the show definitely had a much deeper meaning than most of us could barely comprehend as kids and eventually learn later as a adults. Very deep stuff…
@@JCWinters-bu8de I'd like to watch this vid! Any idea which RU-vidr? I totally agree. puppetmon was a digimon who desperately needed help from a digital therapist, dude wanted friends but needed control over everything considering his own life is under a "puppet-ship" of a greater evil. This is contradictory to having friends, having friends is a mutual understanding of relationships. Truly a tragic character
At the time MetalGarurumon one-shotted him, Puppetmon was simultaneously controlling his mansion robot (Housemon in the dub) which contained some of Puppetmon's power, and he was also presumably tired because the previous battle. So that means MetalGarurumon faced a significantly weaker version of Puppetmon, instead both MetalEtemon and WarGreymon faced a stronger version and therefore Puppetmon gave the fight to both. But yeah, it was still enjoyable that it was MetalGarurumon who finished him off.
Lemon represents the tragic hero on old plays and narratives. His type of character was very common in classical literature. A noble character who ironically meets his doom no matter what he does.
The digidestined during this arc had broken up to try and "find themselves" and their motivation. Mimi was tired of fighting and left the group as well and also had her motivation for not wanting to fight being "tested". It was her "time out" but the battle with Etemon showed she'd had to.
@@orlandojuarez9742 Because in the previous couple episodes some of their friends got kiIIed like wizardmom, chumon, whamon, and then Matt left the group so Mimi started to realize this was too much for her to handle so she left. Matt left to "find himself" because in the previous 2 episodes he realized his role as a bigger brother to TK was ending, TK was growing up and didn't need Matt as much, Matt had always identified his role in life as being a protector and he lost that once TK was able to take care of himself, so he left the group to find his purpose and to find a new identity.
Funny how americans think their digimon is the best while it is by far the worst there is. The american dub is so goddamn awful I don't understand how it got any views.
It's funny how people from other countries think THEIR version is always the best OR people who label themselves true anime fans will say only the sub is the best. That's insane, they're all good towards whatever culture we're from.
Thanks for uploading this is probably my 2nd favorite episode :D and to people who diss on the English your not true Digimon fans :( Real fans would love any version how ever it is
Haha yeah i always found that funny like, just in case they weren't convinced he wasn't truly evil haha. Like yeah i know you're not trying to catch us!
Based on looks alone, SaberLeomon should have been an Ultimate and not a Mega. I do like that there's more beast-like Megas though. There's an over-abundance of humanoid ones.
This looks similar to when the time i recorded this episode as a boy the fox kid's logo the pop up green thing that comes out ahh good time's such good memories
Sucks for Puppetmon to lose his Puppet Pummel Hammer. ^^; His weapon and using his "Puppteering" is what made him powerful but since his hammer is gone....well.....^^;
@@JCool123 Always found it odd that an ultimate level digimon could destroy a mega level weapon. But i guess technically the weapon itself is arbitrary to the user. Also he did have his crossbar he could use as a hammer
He shouldn't have been killed. He should have just been seriously wounded but helped out in the final fight against Piedmon. And what is it with Leomon being killed time and time again?
@@aeb8312 that is what pissed me off he died the 1st time in season 1 and then the 2nd time in Tamers like what in the digihell is this? make this the 2nd damn time that Leomon had to die no thanks to Beelzemon and his 2pac and DMX lookin ass and his crazy ass just had to kill Jeri’s partner Beelzemon need to get his goofy lookin ass straight!!
@@bendonovan9244 he wrote or co-wrote include the themes for Digimon, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Power Rangers Wild Force and others. He passed away in 2016
Everytime Tai is in the bathtub and he hears the Thong Song by: Sisqo he be like, "that's my jam." And he'd jump out of the bathtub it was like *Thong Song begins to play on the Tv* Tai: "that's my jam!" *Runs out the bathtub and into the living room* *starts twerking* Kari: "daddy Tai's naked again!" Susumu: "Go put some clothes on ya naked freak!!"
comparisson Digimon adventure and Digimon adventure tri the many different the story mani secret and complicated and many digimon character are powerfull to became enemy.
I like LEOMON and I want him to have a human partner... and they did do it, they give him a human partner but he was killed immediately. I want Leomon to evolve to his perfect form!
