im really surprised you managed to make such a good sounding sound using beepbox! I've tried my hand at it a few times but they never have this level of polished feel! great work!

havent been able to make anything recently (other than right now bc im sick) and looked thru comments here to catch up with my channel and i think this is actually the best piece of advice i couldve gotten lol ty
I can't believe you used beepbox to do this retro song! But I actually "try" to do modern ones, but since I actually don't know ANYTHING about music composition, my tracks could be worse than this... Except one that I actually uploaded to this account. "Calm Cave of the Strong Monsters"
@@spiffed_it ohhhhhhh!!! well when i say "system" i basically mean the sound of the song itself. it sound partly like an NES console and partly like Sega Genesis/ Sega Mega Drive
16-bit version Genesis/Megadrive and Master System/Mark III Sega Master System/Sega Mark III has Texas Instrumental SN76489 PSG and Yamaha YM2413 FM sound audio chip
I made this a while back before posting it, but I think I made it over a few weeks by piling more on. I usually make these with a style of game/boss in mind that I make up. boring part below: The design for this was that the music would stay the same until the next phase, where it switches from a modern art style to an old/retro type game. halfway through it changes to a mix of both and I think that's where the bass triangle wave kicks in. Of course, I never really MAKE the levels, it's just fun to envision.
very cool! i noticed the difference between the waves, but figured it was just a stylistic or harmonic choice. interesting approach with retro vs modern, IME solid concepts like those make for good tracks.
this sounds like bossfight in a little video game i made in my head, probably gonna take insparation from it. (btw the triangle wave at 1:20 scares me, idk why)
to make the song -- paandorasbox.github.io (variation of beepbox.co) to make the visuals -- corrscope i can explain the proccess of making the channels work in corrscope if you need :) (you might wanna friend me on discord so im notified when you ask something -- and you might get pre-release updates on others) ;)
@@HeeminYT ok? i just told him both things i used. i didnt look at his channel originally so i answered what both were just in case. also who said i was trying to make pure 8bit, i just make stuff for fun -.-
You can see those little "steps" in the triangle wave, thats why some people may say that the triangle is stepped. Because of that, there are harmonics. Harmonics are waves that are "embedded" in the triangle. The more steps, the higher the pitch of those waves. The triangle from beepbox has 16 steps, so the noise is relatively high pitched. "Perfect" triangles also have steps but so many that you don't hear them.
