The way he rendered her queen useless by blocking off all the possible rerouting squares it had was completely genius. I don't know if this is common thought process for every high-rated master or just Eric, because he's sacked his queen so many times, but that is efficient use of a knight & bishop vs. a queen if I've ever seen it.

8:52 is actually one of the most interesting positions I've seen in my chess career. Black is pinned down and has to keep making queen moves back and forth on that file, while white has to figure out how to break through on the other side of the board.
