Sorry i miss your podcast more often than not. I live in florida and do blacksmith work from home so i work early morning and evenings to beat the heat,95 with humidity is hot sure then you add in a 1800 degree forge and i can show you what hell will feel like😅

Josh,lets say we keep all the pitching prospects and they all make an impact at the mlb level yet the pirates still have the same crappy hitter development how do the results at the big league level change? The team has the prize everyone else wants,pitching, keep it all and the team pitches great and still loses,trade some and the team is better and makes the playoffs. Also im all for the playoff format,it sucks having to watch a team that has no chance by june.

The shift is gone so why does darn near every hitter in the MLB try and blast the ball to the moon with every swing?! I understand when the shift was still a thing that swinging for the fence was about the only way to not have a fielder standing in front of your ball. Those days are gone yet hitting coaches (haines) and hitters still have a beat the shift mentality. Its frickin maddening to watch guys hitting .180 to try and swing like babe ruth.

@@bridge2buctober wanting to be buyers dont mean they can. The way theyre playing is deciding for them. As for selling,they have Chapman,gonzales(marco),perez and tellez,they would get back a few mid to low level prospects or maybe an mlb ready player for chapman and perez. I wish i could say otherwise Josh i really do with jones on the il i just dont see this 2 week stretch before the all star break ending well. Good news is this year they were in it till july and next year looks really promising if they fire haines asap. Anyway brother its all good,heck maybe theyll get lucky.

Chapman aside, I guess I wouldn't see that as being sellers, necessarily. I'm thinking they'd have to deal Bednar or Holderman or Reynolds to be considered sellers. Maybe I'm going too deep with that

Last thing,the hitting will never improve as long as haines is still in the clubhouse. I get that offence is down across mlb,the fact is the pirates are at or close to the bottom in all categories. You cant have the pitching development at or near the top and the hitting at the bottom,hitting just has to be better and wont be with a guy as talentless as haines.
