I forgot about that. You can even see the watch on his left arm. Edit: I meant that you can see the watch on his arm to improve his disguise not to prove it is minion.
@@senabecool7232 The difference is that the new movie is a crappy bad animated movie with cringe sidekicks and megamind doesnt act the same the trailer looks like it was made in 2006 and its full of cringe stuff
@@repentofyoursinsandbelieve629 Bitch, the only commandments I know are eight demons, a fairy and a giant with 30k+ power levels, and they're out for blood.
Ya’ll know how Metroman could just beat Megamind to a pulp if he wanted to, right? Like that’s the whole point of Titan as a character: show the violent and murderous side of Metroman if he went haywire. Except unlike Titan, Metroman kinda had a love-hate relationship with Megamind. He always tries to be flashy in front of people, but deep down he kinda sympathizes with Megamind, seeing as they’re both the last remaining species of their kind. It’s probably just fanon but I’d imagine he frequently visits Megamind and sends him a box of donuts or something to insult or probably mock him but since Megamind isn’t exactly the sore loser type he actually enjoys those visits of his. I dunno its fun to think they got this rival-coworker vibe goin.
I like how Megamind commits his first act of heroism while also making a swansong of sorts to his villainy. Like, he's becoming a hero, but he will show this villain how it's really done one more time before he goes.
I was devasted as a child when I learned it was my parents who put easter eggs under the christmas tree each halloween, instead of the Queen of England.
@@averageyoutubeenjoyer3456 how could you be selective of a scene when the twist of the scene is that the whole time it was the fish and mega mind was disguised as metro man? How could you be selective that his part is the real guy and the rest of the fish? The scene basically implies that the fish knows him so well as to impersonate him. And that mega mind being disguised as a ‘hero’ is being “he’s the real hero”. That’s the whole point of the twist
One thing ı like about this scene is the fact that Titan loses balance after charging at Megamind This just shows how amateur he is w super powers compared to Metroman
Very true, it’s scary to think how overpowered Titan could’ve been given enough time and training. Metro man was fast enough to make time seem frozen, this happened long enough for him to have a whole life changing journey. Megamind’s “presenTATION” wouldn’t have happened if Titan was that fast.
@@zee6697 well I think since megamind used only the dandruff of metro man Titan would possibly be weaker than metro man as metro man does not use dandruff
If we want to be accurate the last Queen of England was Anne I. She was the last reigned queen before the acts of Union merged the kingdoms of England and Scotland into the kingdom of Great Britain
@@noobie5324 no, it’s queen of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and her other realms, when she’s in the U.K, if she was in Canada it would be Queen of Canada and her other realms. Also many commonwealth nations are republics, like India and Pakistan
@@johnlavery3433 it seems like you know a bit or two. How can it be that the kingdoms of scotland and England were merged....yet still scotland tries to get its independece from the United kingdom? Are they still independent in some way? Also does this mean "england" does not even exist anymore and the united kingdom really is a whole new country? I always thought it was another "layer" with the kingdoms of wales, scotland, england and ireland being the layer that was hidden behind the "UK" Im really just curious. Sorry if i maybe sound passive agressive or smth ^^
Yeah it definitely should've gotten a sequel. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the original plan. I still distinctly remember when they were promoting the crap out of it with posters everywhere and toys at McDonald's, and the way it ended was the perfect setup for a potential sequel. But despicable me was also being promoted at the time and was released the same year but over 3 months before megamind, giving it more than enough time to become a huge hit and overshadow any mainstream success megamind would've gotten. This obviously affected ratings when megamind finally did come out. And over time people just kind of forgot about it. Which is a shame because most people who have seen both movies would agree that it's better quality than despicable me in every way. It really makes you wonder how popular it would be today if it was released first. Would megamind have the film series and franchise that despicable me currently has? We'll never know.
Movies/franchises like Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung-Fu Panda, The Incredibles, and Toy Story are all great examples. Kids movies used to have great humor and story, where nowdays it has been traded out for mindless bathroom humor and nonsensical stories that kids won't care about because they don't understand it (Trolls, Boss Baby, etc.)
Titan is such a well written character. Earlier Hal was scolding Roxanne for not seeing how “good” he is to her, and now he’s scolding her for seeing the real good in actually good people. Just shows how delusional he’s become.
Also also being enough of an hypocrite to say "You're living in a fantasy" and "This is the real world, and you need to WAKE UP!", when it is him the one that is basically re-enacting all of his superpower fantasies one after the other.
What's the point of being a villain if you can't chew the scenery? Hal was clearly depressed and angry, even after he got his super powers. Really no point in being a villain if you can't enjoy it. Megamind really thought things through.
Hal only became a villain because Megamind didn't think things through, and was bored after beating Metroman. He gave Hal powers to have someone to fight.
@@cousinpatsey2471 Well, MM initially wanted to give super powers to someone of high moral standards, like Roxanne. But he accidentally gave it to Hal, and refused to take back the power, because he thought the fate had decided to intervene (MM strongly believed that anyone with MetroMan's powers would become noble, similar to how Superman's powers made Lex Luthor noble). He then put the depowering gun inside the invisible car, then misplaced it after Roxanne dumped him (if he knew where his invisible car was, he could have depowered Hal at any time).
He did not, look at the eyes. Even when using the disguise watch, the eye colors always stay the same, and since the megamind in this scene still has his piercing green, it can't be minion, he has brown ones.
@@samkeiser9776 Ok, wait a dang minute. I actually went back, watched the scene again, and they FUCKED UP THE EYE COLORS. God damn it, they forgot about the eye colors, you can literally see the eyes go from green to brown in that scene, and even Megamind in Metroman disguise has blue eyes now. Thought I had a point but my evidence was just false, my bad.
Hes not that stupid, He Wasnt wrong about the "there is no queen of england" Because Its actually Queen of the UNITED Kingdom. Therefore he is slightly less stupid.
Technically he's right... Officially there hasn't been "queen of England" since 1603. Current queen is actually "Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland." people just call her "Queen of England", even though that's not her official title.
That's what happens when your movie comes out along side another animated.movie with a similar presence. Despicable Me came out the same year. The similarities are uncanny.
It's Tighten, Iirc Megamind couldn't get a Copyright on Titan, so he's named Tighten. You see this when he spells his name with his lazer eyes Edit: The Character Megamind, not the movie*
This movie is so dang good, it’s sad it didn’t get any attention because it came out in the same year Despicable Me came out, but now it’s known as one of the funniest movies
i'm genuinely offended by the trailer for megamind 2. that actually might be one of the biggest drop offs in quality between an original and a sequel yet.
@@pizzamike8974 it’s a story, because it has lore, which if put down onto a book or put into some sort of online format , like this comment, which is a story about how he hated the movie but then loved it later after they grew up
I mean, the song was cut. Still probs, becouse Megamind not only he is a genious inventor and having the swag, but also he can edit music on the fly for the proper PRESENTATION effect :D
For the most part. The "No You Can't" posters (parody of the Obama posters) is definitely 2010 lol. Other than that, it's aged better than Despicable Me has. That's for sure.
I liked how the writers put "there is no queen of england" so that young audiences think the dudes a moron and wouldnt think that the easter bunny and tooth fairy don't exist.
Honestly this is one of the best supervillain movies of all time, it shows the villains perspective and allows him to change, truly one of the movies of all time 10/10 movie
I think Megamind would just become another Shrek. There is many adult themes and Humor in Shrek 1 and Megamind. But at least after Shrek 2 it became a cashcow.
Yes and no. Elizabeth technically never was the “Queen of England”, her title was Queen of the United Kingdom, so Hal could just be being pedantic. However, there is still a Queen of the UK: Camilla, King Charles’s wife
As well as the stunned, surprised amazement she has about Megamind's entrance then how obviously touched and in awe she is that he came back to save *her*.
I imagine the animators probably wanted to cry when they heard they were gonna have to assemble like a billion of the minion thingies into a giant Megamind head, and have it move
I mean they were probably made via some sort of particle system that used point or the like to generate where the all go and give em slightly random rotation and stuff. That's almost never done manually, except like some added detail after the fact to 'perfect' it if you will. It's an incredible amount of work still but I sure hope they didn't do that manually haha
The fact that Titan reacts when the guitar starts implies Megamind actually started blasting Welcome to the jungle at full volume during the presentation
How to become a super villain: 1) have Megamind level pettiness 2) have “P R E S E N T A T I O N” 3) sick outfits 4) an amazing soundtrack 5) be amazing 6) good back and forth banter
7) superhuman intellect and inventive genius 8)ability to outsource materiel from romania without being detected by authorities to build your bases and weapons 9)a huge mech to fight your opponents in NOW you're ready!
Don’t mind me. Just remembering when there was only good official Megamind content before it’s too late. Edit: Scratch that, I just found out about the tie in game.
This is legitimately one of the great classic scenes in the history of western animated movies. That grand "YOU DARE CHALLENGE MEGAMIND?!" is indescribably epic.
I dared not watching this movie or any other animated movie and it sure paid off - I'm not an overly sentimental clown man child that losses his sh*t over a simple quote from a kids movie.
I find it actually wholesome that Minion does a very good Megamind impression, they've been together for so long that they know eachother so perfectly because of that lmao. same with Megamind impersonating Metro Man, all three have known eachother since they were just babies
@@silentshadow3894 okay just watched the beginning scene where his parents are putting him in a pod, the parents did refer to him as "your Minion", so either that's what their species was called or just the name really lol.
I know it's an obvious thing, but I love the attention to detail with Welcome to the Jungle echoing like it's coming out of diegetic speakers, confirming that it's not just a soundtrack, Megamind really did put that on full blast for his entrance
If I know Megamind like I think I do, there is probably a 95% chance he filmed and broadcasted the whole conversation like he did with Metroman in the their observatory banter scene...
This hits even harder for me after watching the trailer of the sequel, he went from a SUPERVILLAIN to a miraculous ladybug looking bkzk, look how they massacred my boy
I gotta love how shocked Roxanne looks when he says there's no queen of england, like she legit actually looked at him in sadness EDIT: Almost 6500 likes, most I've ever gotten as far as I'm aware. EDIT 2: 6.6k 😬

He is like a villain Tony Stark, with the music and everything, plus he is a genius, and also the goat T beard as well, but he does have a giant blue head.
Nobody hero, or villain could ever make a better entrance than Megamind. This entrance into battle was absolutely stellar in every way from the music to the brain, bots replica of his head to him walking into battle on the giant tongue
