Sorry Kevin, but this is what this team is. They got lucky against the other teams that they just barely scraped by, but today there was no escaping their own overrated standing. No, I am not a Michigan fan, I can't stand them either, but I just watch a lot of college football and if this team gets to the big stage, they'll just simply get embarrassed like they have so many times in the past 10 years. I'd rather they go to a lesser bowl and win for the Big 10 then go up against a power school and get housed.

Not even I would support this. Emotions are once again getting the best out of Ohio State. To me, Michigan is continuing the momentum from last year, with a reloaded and improved team. JJ McCarthy has taken over at QB and Blake Corum has shined as RB1. And the defense is standing strong (maybe stronger) like it’s 2021 team. No this would not be targeting. For targeting you have to have forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless player (player in the act of catching a pass; player throwing a pass or passing posture ect.) And include an indicator of target like a upward thrust or launch. The other way for it to be targeting is leading with the crown of the helmet aka spearing. This was running the mouth chicken fighting after the play. Contact was not forcible but outside the rules of the game. It was on egregious enough to be called flagrant. So correct call for unsportsmanlike this puts a counter on him if he gets another he's disqualified.

Yeah, but it was still one possession game and they had the ball in plus territory. The holding penalty is only a ten yard penalty. They got back 29 of the 35 yards, but they also just punted when they could have gone for it on 4th down. Day coached the whole game without any aggression.

Michigan will win next year as well, McCarthy will have the buckeyes number at the big house. Im a lifelong buckeye fan and this is hard to watch. Not just because of the numbers but because the last 2yrs this buckeye team is extremely SOFT!! Not just physically but also mentally as we saw today. It was. Instead of 1st and 10 at the Michigan 25, it was 1st and 35 at the Ohio 40. Then came the botched fake punt. Those mistakes deflated the stadium and gave Michigan all the confidence they needed to win.

I got lucky to play on HS FB team; our coach had none of that crap. He told us to help your opponent up after the plays; they would get upset, and swing at us, RECEIVING a 15 yard penalty. We never lost, so WE never threw tantrums.

@@area.man. OSU was obviously tired and unmotivated late. Give them the lead, and maybe the defense fights harder. That also forces Michigan to throw the ball more, instead of establishing the run later.

@@clonecommandermike332 Michigan seemed to be fine throwing today as well. OSU got tired because they could not make a stop. Did you think if OSU went up 27-24 there that Michigan was going to abandon the run in a 3 point game? I think it is more an issue of a bad secondary, receivers not getting open deep, and Day not knowing what to do when he doesn't have a 2 score lead against an opponent.

How is this not "targeting"? I get that it was after the play, but isn't this what they're trying to prevent. If the roles would be reversed and a defender head butted a receiver out of bounds. It would definitely be a target call

In my opinion, this was the turning point of the game. OSU just got the first down, was driving with great field position, and then a holding penalty with that penalty killed the drive and then the game. This is a lesson to any young players out there... one dumb move like that can cost your team the game. It's not worth it. Just don't do it.

So far this play, Buckeyes were not so bad. After the (double) penalty followed by punt by OH, Michigan made a touchdown series of 15 plays with almost eight minutes.
