In this episode, Chris provides an update on the mystery oil leak and does some basic but absolutely necessary maintenance on the Predator 3500 Inverter Generator.
Yea, I just really can’t find where it’s coming from. It’s leaking near the oil drain plug. Kinda near where the motor bolts to the frame. I hope I didn’t crack the block transporting it Offroad. I doubt it. But, i think the only way to actually find it is to remove it out of the housing which is gonna suck lol it’s not a bad leak so I might just say efffff it lol it still purrrrs like a kitten and pumps out power so I’ll deal lol
It’s most likely leaking from the air intake. Air filter is absolutely soaked. Once it puddles in the air intake, it will leak for weeks on end without use🤷♂️
Damn, sounds like you have a piston ring problem. The oil may be getting by the rings into the combustion chamber. Do you still have the warranty? I’d return it and get another one. I have a friend that has that one with over 300 hrs and no problems. You might just have a bad one out of the bunch.
I don’t want you to take it the wrong way, but I’ve seen some crazy stuff. Your not mixing the oil and gas together right? These generators are 4 strokes and don’t require it. Just covering all bases lol
