Maybe explain how injector performance can affect boost in a unit that doesn't show any performance issues. Finding the videos and info useful, thanks and keep them coming.

A real Sherlock Holmes type decision, You proved the likely things where not the cause , So it has to be the unlikely thing ! It took balls to make that call ,Congrats !

Good one Joe! Properly atomized fuel is key to proper combustion, just tougher to call injectors if only have 30,000 miles on them and already 2nd set. Been curious to see intake NOx sensor readings in overrun (which I think those might use zero mass adaptation so it might vary) to see if had leakage on a nozzle or not sure if you easily run injector back leakage test to check for internal leakage. Probably all waste of time because all other data was pointing to over fueling with all air management testing fine. Suggestion/question is can you run graphical monitoring with Insite 8.9 while running an ECM diagnostic test? I have had to work on a couple Cummins lately and to be able to review a Regen would be nice. Thanks

You can do graphical but only a very few items at a time. In all my years I never saw an engineer use it with Insite. They did use it with calterm. I just do the graphing with excel. Our companies First priority is uptime. Cost is not a consideration in the financial arena I work in. They just want a correct call the first time so equipment is back online. When each part is 30K or more then their is a different decision process used.

@@ENGINESHOPJOE Lol, I'm in trucking so they want it right, cheap, and fast! Figured you were going to say graph it in Excel, that is how I have to do it with log data on Eaton transmissions. I'm just not an Excel pro and management doesn't see a need for me to have Excel on my $300 laptop! I was trying to log a SCR performance test on an early CM2350 Friday and bouncing between screens either Insite or I got confused and Insite became unresponsive. With Paccar Davie, I can log for up to two hours of all channels if wanted, then save and open with Davie and can select 6 PIDS at a time to graph and able to zoom in @ 100 mS cells on the time axis and also zoom down the vertical axis with couple clicks of the mouse to review. Super handy.

Good troubleshooting. What is an expected injector lifetime with proper filtration on a pre EGR Cummins ISM?

My opinion not Cummins guidelines is STC injectors 250-450k miles Non stc injectors 400-500k miles Many factors influence the above limits
